I don’t personally know any one who had a baby and was out having lunch with friends less than a week later…if a person HAS to work, unfortunately I can see the poor woman having to but if you dont..it just seems odd imo. And I don’t know any woman who had a baby and even had to go back to work a couple of weeks later, who would wear(or could wear) tight white pants like this.

    again

    JMHO.
    _______
I agree that the jeans are an odd choice, but it’s the same thing as when I found J.Lo self-absorbed for wearing stilettos, while pregnant with twins.

  • LuckyL

Nicole may be self-conscientious of seeming skinny and hip like so many post-pregnancy, Hollywood women. She seems very self-conscience and fragile. I’m glad Urban understands what it means to need help.

Myohmy @ 07/21/2008 at 12:17 am Did she have a C-Section? Because until if not I dont see how she is wearing tight white Jeans. Any ladies out there who have had babies knows that, especially with the first one for about the first 6-8 weeks it is messy to say the least.. if you get my drift. Heavy duty Overnighters are needed 24/7.

C-section or not, you still have that “problem” where one wouldn’t wear white pants – if you know what I mean????

  • Myohmy

I dont see anything wrong with a woman being out immediately after giving birth or that a woman can immediately look very good, but there are certain physical properties that giving birth does to the body that must be addressed for every woman who has conceived and that includes a very EXTRA heavy period for about 6 weeks – that is if you did not have a C-Section. Because of how heavy it is you MUST use extra heavy pads. Unless this picture is pre-baby there is no sign of an Extra heavy pad being used. Of course again, if she had a C-Section where she actual had her stomach cut open, she will have stitches and a bandage as well as being very sore in that area. Those tight pants around her lower waist do not indicate any bandages to me. So it for me has nothing to do with her looking good or going out soon after the birth, but, what she is wearing is a clear sign that she did not have a C-Section nor a natural birth because of the reasons I state above. Some may not like the truth, but, there you have it. Any woman who has had a C-Section knows what she can wear and cant as well as any woman who has given birth the old fashion way knows she must wear a very large pad for almost two months because of the bleeding.

There is something v. weird going on… she doesnt look like she was pregnant at all. strange.

  • LuckyL

Myohmy, you have pleaded a great case. This is actually the first time I feel swayed. Thanks for the enlightening post.

#48, did you see pictures of Nicole out having lunch 4 days after giving birth? No. Believe me the paps would have pictures if she was out just like they have the pictures you’re looking at here. If she did feel like going out, good for her, but just because the press says she was out doesn’t make it true.

I have had three children the natural way every time. I was fortunate that I didnt gain too much weight with any of them and looked pretty good shortly after. But there is only so much you can the first couple weeks – you still have some swelling in the stomach area and there is no way to avoid the “messiness” of child birth for about 6-8 weeks. I thought with the first child I was going to bleed to death. I changed my pads every couple hours. I could never wear white jeans and certainly not tight white jeans without revealing my hospital strength maxi pad. Those pads are triple the size of a normal pad.

  • LuckyL

I actually feel like the surrogate mother case might possibly be true.

  • LuckyL

Hold on, I just read this on Women’s Health:

“Q: When should women expect normal menstruation to resume?

A: This depends on whether you are breastfeeding or not. If you are not breastfeeding, your first period will occur about two months after childbirth. However, there is no way to know when you begin to ovulate again – 90 percent of women will not ovulate before their first period. So contraception is essential if you have sex soon after childbirth.

If you are breastfeeding, your period may resume at any time from about two months after childbirth. Some women only get their period back once they stop breastfeeding.”

  • hostas

“Hospital strength maxi pad” – that’s an excellent way to describe it, and I was trying to say that you have the same bleeding with a c-section as well!

  • lola

I love Nicole (although it is getting harder I must admit) and when there were rumours she was faking the pregnancy I totally did not believe them. However, after seeing these photos and how she is out and about so soon without the baby and not looking sore or anything like that it really does seem weird. Would you really go mattress shopping after pushing out a baby or having a major surgery like a c-section a week earlier? But at the same time, if she really did fake the pregnancy would she really be out and about so soon and invite all of this scrutiny? I don’t know what to believe. The whole situation is so weird!

  • Myohmy

The bleeding I am refrerring to is not a menstrual period. It doesnt go away for a good 6-8 weeks and just when you think you are done… here comes the menstrual cycle – UGGHHH.

I didnt realize you had the bleeding when you had a C-Section as I have never had a C-Section. So, come on people there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY she is wearing what would look like five pads stacked one after the other… NO WAY.

I dont think anyone explained this to Nicole as far as what happens after childbirth OR she would have created “look” for us I am quite sure.

I still like Nicole, I just feel sorry for her that she had to go through this crazy fake pregnancy instead of admitting to a surrogate. Kind of sad in a way.

  • my2cents

I am with myohmy. I had 2 kids and a heavy flow for a good 5-6 weeks after each delivery, wore heavy duty pads which had to be changed quite often, plus you are sore all over especially the breasts. 2 of my sisters had c-sections and were hurting for weeks, wore loose clothes so as not to aggrevate their incisions. None of us went out in white tight anything 2 weeks after delivery, just was not physically possible. Something is not right to me.

#57 there were pap pixs of her out to lunch and buying mattresses, that’s how I know that she did.

  • Myohmy

If I had the money to bet I am going to say that the word will be passed along to Nicole that women that have just given birth MUST wear Industrial Maxi Pads as if they were shot or something and that there would be a very prominent BULDGE in the crotch area showing she was wearing a GIGANTIC Pad. Tampons are medically not allowed and wouldnt come close to addressing the issue, after birth so you have to wear these big pads.

Mark my words she will be wearing dresses for the next photo-op or something that doesnt reveal the lack of a pad.

Okay, I understand now Myohmy. This is all now just saddening. I really hope she had the chance to feel life in her body. She deserved it after Tommy boy.

  • Myohmy

I know I agree LuckyL I feel very badly for her not being able to conceive naturally – she wasted all of her time with Tom Thumb. I wish she could have promoted being a surrogate as so many women are not able to conceive and must use a surrogate. She could have been a very good role model for them ,but, it appears for whatever reason this was not the route she felt she needed to go. I hope she and Keith and the baby have a wonderful life.

Remember Christina Aguilera and Halle Berry had boobies for days just before and after having their babies?? She totally doesn’t have that going on!. Surrogate much? Just sayin’ is all. If a surrogate was used, own up to it, there should be no shame or anything with using a surrogate. Lots of people do it, it’s a viable option to expand a family. It shouldn’t matter how you have a child, but that the child is loved. I’m sure Sunday will be much loved.

  • @#58

Not every woman has the same experience as that, I certainly didn’t and lots of my friends didn’t either……….I would have been perfectly able medically to wear white jeans 2 weeks after giving birth……….I think it is absolutely ridiculous to believe just because she looks so good that some how that means she didn’t really have a baby…….Nicole worked out her whole pregnancy and didn’t gain much weight apart from the baby………plus they have every right to go out and have coffee if they want to, people are carrying on as if they went to Iraq……it’s just coffee people!!!

  • Mireille

Very tight jeans right after giving birth . . . Yikes . . . And a little short blouse would be showing your still swollen stomach . . .Either Nicole Kidman is a walking 40-year-old miracle birth giver or something isn’t quiet right . . . Just my opinion as a mother of three.

  • Myohmy

I think it is kind of embarrassing for her that someone in her camp did not explain what happens the first 6-8 weeks after having the baby and what type of clothing must be worn to accommodate the aftermath of giving birth, i.e. not show bleeding and not show a gigantic maxi pad that is about 12-13 inches in length and about 1.5 inches thick and you still have leakage even with the gigantic pad.

If she was going to go the fake pregnancy route her camp should have informed her more thoroughly that after having a baby sure you can physically look almost back in shape very quickly… but, the dreaded bleeding is not something that you can get away from.

  • Myohmy

    @#58

I just do not believe that you had a baby and had no bleeding that would require what looks like a Depends Undergarment on Steroids to keep from bleeding all over yourself.

Sure looking good after pregnancy is often the case, i.e. Jessica Alba – notice that she has had a dress on for every time she has been out. That is not because she doesnt want to show her back in shap body off, but, because there are physical things going on for at least the first month to 6 weeks that pants will very quickly look very bad on a woman – Think Carrie at the prom….

  • wake up and smell the coffee

I think she wants to be photographed this day… she has tons of makeup on — not what you’d might expect for a visit to Starbucks with your husband while your baby is napping.

  • josie

Okay we get it – you are thin Nicole. Now go home and be with your baby!

  • notbusy

The uumyth hate group should just go away already! You hate Nicole. Everybody knows that. Accept that she had Keith’s baby and move on with your own lives.

  • P

Myohmy, I am in total agreement with you. The blood after childbirth (no, it’s not menstrual) is enormous and Nicole going out with tight white jeans and a white shirt, with milk coming in? I don’t think so.

  • cassi

Heavy post partum bleeding usually eases after a week (it did in my case). Some women may find an ultra thin hygiene product sufficient
    after 10-14 days.
Hipster jeans are also a godsend !

  • justme

All that yoga and exercising looks like it paid off. If you are fit with excellent muscle control then you don’t experience too much swelling and virtually no tearing. Maybe if some of you got of your fat arses got up and excercised during pregnancy then you too would have had an easy recovery. And you don’t bleed for 2 weeks, only for a few days to a week and it heavy.

    @#58 @ 07/21/2008 at 1:15 am

ITA. I gained 23 lbs when I was pregnant, had a 7 lb 2 oz baby by normal vaginal delivery, and two weeks later the heavy bleeding had pretty much slowed down and I was back in my jeans. Every pregnancy is different.

I’m unable to understand why people keep hating on this woman and insisting she was never pregnant and paid a surrogate to have her baby. Nobody in their right mind would fake a pregnancy. The lie is too easily exposed.

  • Myohmy

#79 and #80 here are some links on average it is 4- 8 weeks of heavy flow. And that is what I personally experienced as well. The flow has nothing to do with being in shape( I am an aerobics instructor) .

Even if she did use a surrogate, she has no obligation to admit to something so personal. Yes she could be an advocate but that’s not her responsibility

Myohmy, it’s going to fall on deaf ears. I honestly believe it is the same 2 people who keep writing that every pregnancy is different blah, blah, blah. I’ve been following Nicole’s pregnancy and wasn’t too sure if the rumors were true or not. Now, I most definitely believe she did not give birth, despite all these excuses: She didn’t gain weight or have a belly because she is tall, she is out and about after a few days because she is fit, her chest is flat because her milk didn’t come in yet or a pill stopped it, she isn’t bleeding because some women stop after 5 days. These are all miracle coincidences and/or occurrences for a 41 yr old woman. According to some posters, Nicole is an EXCEPTION to every RULE. If she did somehow medically stop what is natural, what does that say about her?

  • hm

And it’s not only that she is wearing white jeans, after you have a baby you go through all kinds of hormonal changes and you are exhausted. Your body needs time to adjust and regardless of whether you have a c-section or a vaginal birth, you are sore and uncomfortable, everywhere. It’s fine that her fans believe that she was pregnant, but I will just say that whenever a celebrity gives birth within hours or at the very least a couple of days we hear about the hospital, how the baby was delivered, how much the baby weighed, blah, blah, blah. With Nicole, nothing. Someone from that hospital whether it was another mother or something would have divulged something. And as to the baby weight gain, if you read these boards you hear so many stories of my sister had a baby yesterday and she’s back in her skinny jeans already. Doubtful. Considering the incredible bodies of Jessica Alba, Halle Berry, and Heidi Klum, Nicole is the only woman in recent memory that appears to have gained no weight, anywhere. No matter how thin you are, your stomach is stretched to accomodate your baby and it doesn’t go away over night. And don’t get me started about a 40+ woman who suffered miscarriages in the past but is spinning the day before she gives birth. No way. They should have thought it out more and just come clean. No one would have judged her for needing a surrogate.

  • ew

EW HE LOOKS LIKE A SHORT VERSION OF DISGUSTING BILLY RAY CYRUS.

#80 – You are silly little twit and must be 12, at least I hope so. My friend gave birth 6 months ago and was a size 0 her whole life. She didn’t gain much weight during her pregnancy, but had a bigger stomach than Nicole. She took gymnastics and dance since she was a child, but she still bled uncontrollably for several weeks after the birth. It has nothing to do with muscle control and exercise. It’s a natural process that every woman goes through after childbirth. My friend also said she wasn’t up to doing anything for a while because she felt disgusting. It’s really rich how you’re telling people to get off their “fat arses” (let me guess you’re an aussie?) and you don’t know what the heck you’re talking about.

  • Claudia

American – I would agree with you that it’s nobody’s business if she used a surrogate. However, she is a public figure and chose to announce that she was carrying a child. She opened this can of worms herself. I think she should have said she was adopting and left it at that. There is nothing wrong with adopting, using a surrogate, whatever the case may be. I think she could have helped a lot of women by being honest. Now it’s too late to go back and these speculations and doubts will always haunt her.

  • olive oil

I have serious doubts that she was ever pregnant. I’m normally not anywhere near this skeptical, but she didn’t look ipregnant and she doesn’t look postpartum in the least. Staged pregnancy, adopted baby. Celebrities do odd things.

  • Jay

I still think she gave birth. those white pants are tight, but not THAT tight – so she could be weraing a maxi pad, and her chest definitely looks bigger than usual.

  • jilly

Those lips! Ughhh! If you had a c section, how long until you’re out and about, or did she actually PUSH the baby out?

  • Jill

Claudia — I very much doubt that Nicole cares about your doubts or anyone else’s. Nobody but she and her doctor knows if she had a baby or not, and until a DNA test proves otherwise, saying she didn’t is just silly.

  • Kylegotgame

They don’t look so happy for new parents. Nicole looks unhappy to, instead of looking coy like she would always be, she actually looks a little bitter.

  • To #95

If she didn’t care about what people thought, why go on with the charade of being pregnant? She would have just did what just needed to do. I’m sure her close family and friends know the truth. So it was solely for the public’s benefit that she said she was pregnant, which is becoming fairly obvious she wasn’t.

    Myohmy @ 07/21/2008 at 12:24 am

The more I think about it the more I say there is no way she had this baby unless she had a C-Section and then she would have bandages still on her stomach and wouldnt want anything tight. If no C-Section there is also no way she could she be wearing those very form fitting in the crotch area white jeans. I dont say this to be gross but there is a good 6-8 weeks of heavy flow that requires very thick and constant overnight type pads 24/7. Looking at this photo there is no way she is wearing one of these pads and there is no way she would not need to use them in just 2 short weeks. Something is NOT RIGHT!!!!
    __________

She was out and about 3 days “after giving birth” so i THINK THEY’RE trying to say she gave birth naturally.
