Rosie O'Donnell Scoops Up Variety Show

Rosie O’Donnell is in negotiations to bring a weekly primetime variety show to NBC, reports EW.

Primetime is huge! You go, Rosie!

CBS is also said to be interested in giving the 46-year-old former View host her own series, but NBC is said to have the upper hand. Translation: NBC is giving more money to Rosie than CBS!

Money talks. CBS, fork over the dough!

i wouldn’t watch anything with that terminally angry woman in it. rosie has a chip on her shoulder that, if she weren’t so heavy, would probably make it impossible for her to remain upright.

we at thegreylist.com totally agree… she’s a bit scary &quite honestly, volatile. it’d be a virtual countdown until she blew up…

hell yeah, i’ll watch. and maybe NBC is offering her the better schedule and the kind of creative control she wants. that’s more important to her than simply the most money.

Oh NO. Not more of this hyper opinionated, cranky person whose onstage persona is so annoying that I change channels the minute I see her face. Terrible. NBC, DON’T DO IT! I was so happy that, for a while, we didn’t have to see this blight anymore. Keep it that way.

No way in Hell would I watch her show… She is the most ridiculous person in the entertainment world… and let us not forget that brittney spears is in the entertainment world.

Rosie was enjoyable in the past, but has changed totally! She is very aggressive and simply wants her way. She never thinks before she speaks and is an embarrassment to the world as she verbally attacks those who do not see it her way! I will not watch her “tainted”show as her views are totally warped.

Hell Yeah I will watch! TV is sooooo boring right now. Am tired of reality crap. I never liked Rosie till she did her stint on The View. And now, I can’t wait to see her show. Too bad if won’t be a Bill Maher type show I dig a good variety show especially if there’s none on TV. Congrats Rosie! Bring Jahero with you. :-)

I’d watch anything Rosie does. She’s extremely talented and nobody can hold a candle to her generosity and convictions when it comes to the causes (mainly children’s causes) she believes in and supports.

In this socital climate of being either wholely appathetic or branded some vile name for A) having beliefs and B) standing up for them, I find her willingness to stand firm and be loud about the things she believes in admirable!

I loved when she had her talk show. Didn’t like her on The View, but this might end up being good. She can connect to celebrities well, so a variety show could be really fun.
