Rosie O'Donnell Scoops Up Variety Show

Rosie O’Donnell is in negotiations to bring a weekly primetime variety show to NBC, reports EW.

Primetime is huge! You go, Rosie!

CBS is also said to be interested in giving the 46-year-old former View host her own series, but NBC is said to have the upper hand. Translation: NBC is giving more money to Rosie than CBS!

Money talks. CBS, fork over the dough!

i wouldn’t watch anything with that terminally angry woman in it. rosie has a chip on her shoulder that, if she weren’t so heavy, would probably make it impossible for her to remain upright.

  • http://www.thegreylist.com grey

we at thegreylist.com totally agree… she’s a bit scary &quite honestly, volatile. it’d be a virtual countdown until she blew up…

  • eddie

hell yeah, i’ll watch. and maybe NBC is offering her the better schedule and the kind of creative control she wants. that’s more important to her than simply the most money.

  • Shakira

Oh NO. Not more of this hyper opinionated, cranky person whose onstage persona is so annoying that I change channels the minute I see her face. Terrible. NBC, DON’T DO IT! I was so happy that, for a while, we didn’t have to see this blight anymore. Keep it that way.

  • Tiffany

No way in Hell would I watch her show… She is the most ridiculous person in the entertainment world… and let us not forget that brittney spears is in the entertainment world.

  • Amy

    No.

  • Shakira

why are the comments we make not getting put up under this photo? The comment I made under another photo loaded immediately.

  • Shakira

I take my #7 comment back. They just loaded. Thanks, Jared.

Rosie was enjoyable in the past, but has changed totally! She is very aggressive and simply wants her way. She never thinks before she speaks and is an embarrassment to the world as she verbally attacks those who do not see it her way! I will not watch her “tainted”show as her views are totally warped.

  • Joseph

    God NO!

  • Jo

I would watch!! Rosie is a great supporter of arts and I think she would be fabulous in this type of show!

  • LISA FROM CALI

Hell Yeah I will watch! TV is sooooo boring right now. Am tired of reality crap. I never liked Rosie till she did her stint on The View. And now, I can’t wait to see her show. Too bad if won’t be a Bill Maher type show I dig a good variety show especially if there’s none on TV. Congrats Rosie! Bring Jahero with you. :-)

  • Grace

I’d watch anything Rosie does. She’s extremely talented and nobody can hold a candle to her generosity and convictions when it comes to the causes (mainly children’s causes) she believes in and supports.

In this socital climate of being either wholely appathetic or branded some vile name for A) having beliefs and B) standing up for them, I find her willingness to stand firm and be loud about the things she believes in admirable!

  • sivek

    No.

  • gina

I loved when she had her talk show. Didn’t like her on The View, but this might end up being good. She can connect to celebrities well, so a variety show could be really fun.

  • sharon

I can’t get over the rude and angry people who make comments about Rosie being rude and angry. Ever hear the one about the pot and the kettle? Anyhow . . . you bet I’d watch the show. Rosie is always entertaining and would put together some fantastic shows.

I completely agree. Rosie is a warped and embarrassing person All she does — is spread her venimous, extremist beliefs, while plowing down anyone who doesn’t believe as she does. I’m definitely not interested…

  • victoria

32nd!!!! Number #26, Why do you think Rosie is so hateful? Why do you hate her so much? I love, Love, Love Rosie, and blog on Rosie.com every day. I will watch her show, if she gets one. Her children are so cute, and I love Kelli also, her partner. If you don’t like Rosi, go on to the next person. Don’t be hateful about it.

  • right-wing

Hell, no, I won’t watch. She disgusts me. Liberal-puke-dike.

  • me

I wouldnt watch. She was great back when she had her own talk show, but the Rosie now you couldn’t pay me to listen to.

  • ra

I would absolutely watch any show with Rosie. I love her. Yes, she’s opinionated and controversial, but she’s also funny and has a huge heart. Anyone who loves kids as much as Rosie does is okay in my book. A variety show like they used to do would be great for Rosie. ANYTHING is better than another boring un-reality show. GO ROSIE!

  • Perez Ramada

NO This thing is a degenerate, with an agenda and her mouth is offensive and even fatter than her ugly body.

  • Kathleen

I would watch Rosie read the Yellow Pages! She is a brilliant, beautiful human being. She does so many good things for the world with her $$, she is one of the most naturally funny people going and she is brilliant on TV. We’ve needed her back on television since whenever she isn’t there!!

  • siobhan

She is such a scary rage-aholic! What is her freeeekin’ problem? She’s rich, but she’s always banging her head on the side of some invisible wall.

I believe she has the most severe caase of narcissistic personality disorder I’ve ever seen other than my psycho landlord who rails against delusional attacks on her that never happened.

  • Vfan

Ok seriously who is this women. Just Jares y r u posting people who other people barely know???

  • Jan

YES!! I would watch her show. She will be terrific. TV needs a Variety show. I miss the Carol Burnette Show.

  • Sara

I would probably watch it, I actually enjoy Rosie’s commentary she can be quite funny. I think you either love her or hate her.

  • Justine

Ooooo Noooo, Mr Bill – not another Rosie O’Donnell public setting for rants and stupid conspiracy theories about 9/11. I’ve lost all respect for her. She was very funny starting out but now she is just plain ignorant and an embarrassment. The only worse public figure is Donald Trump.

  • DEBBIE BLEUL

    GODD GOD YES!

SHE IS JUST WHAT WE NEED ON TV

    SOME DAM FUN

TV IS REALLY GOING DOWN HILL

    MOSY PEEPS ON LINE INSTEAD!

  • Tutu

    YES! I LOVE HER!

  • Charles

Most definitely I’d watch Rosie. She is great entertaintment. I love her. You Go Girl!

  • SUE

    YES

  • ash

yes! I love Rosie’s honesty and not afraid to tackle subjects the sheep of the world won’t.

  • Lilly

I can’t stand that evil cow.

  • Linda

If she learned to use a filter and not say everything she thinks.

  • Ali

YES, YES, YES. SHE HAS SO MANY FRIENDS AND CONTACTS, SHE WILL PUT ON A GREAT SHOW THAT IS NOT MANIPULATED, LIKE “IDOL” ETC. CAN YOU IMAGINE PENNY MARSHALL DOING A SKIT? OR MADONNA? SHE WILL GET THE BEST PEOPLE – AND SHE WILL ALSO DO A LOT OF GOOD, EXPOSING UP AND COMING PEOPLE TO THE WORLD AUDIENCE. HOPE THEY GIVE HER A GOOD TIME SLOT AND FREE REIN TO DO A FABULOUS JOB!!
