Rihanna's Day of Tropic Thunder

Rihanna catches a private screening of Paramount Pictures’ Tropic Thunder at the Regal Cinemas theater in New York City’s Times Square on Tuesday night.

The 20-year-old Barbadian beauty was accompanied by a few girlfriends and her bodyguard. She arrived just before the movie started and left before the ending credits finished.

SPOILER ALERT!!! As reported by NYT, Tom Cruise has a rather large role in the film, “a surprise portrayal of a bald, hairy-chested, foulmouthed, dirty-dancing movie mogul.” Every other word coming out of his character’s mouth is an expletive! And as an extra treat, Tom closes out the movie with some dirty “air spanking” to hip-hop music. All in his fat suit!

Other notable cameos include: Matthew McConaughey, who plays the acting agenct of Ben Stiller‘s character; Jon Voight, who plays himself losing ‘the Oscar’ to Stiller‘s character; Lance Bass, who plays the insinuated gay lover of Brandon T. Jackson‘s character; and Maria Menounous and Tyra Banks play themselves.

Robert Downey Jr. does a fine, fine job (as expected) playing an Aussie playing an African-American. Variety review here, Hollywood Reporter review here.
