OlderPenelope Cruz: It Was Crowded When Kissing Scarlett Johansson
Newsweek conducted another strange interview–this time with Penelope Cruz, who stars in Vicky Cristina Barcelona (she kisses Scarlett Johansson in the film).
What was it like kissing Scarlett? Really, Scarlett and I have run out of lines to say about that. We’re calling Woody to give us some material. People love that subject. The only thing which is honest, the set was very crowded that day. But I don’t have anything else to tell you about it.
Did you have to do any research? Very funny.
Aren’t you a funny person? In interviews, I completely lose my sense of humor. I lose at least 50 percent, if not more.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona opens in theaters on Friday, August 15. The film is about two girlfriends on a summer holiday in Spain. They become enamored with the same painter, unaware that his ex-wife, with whom he has a tempestuous relationship, is about to re-enter the picture.

Celebs must get tired of the ridiculous questions they are asked over and over and over and over. I would have thought Newsweek could have come up with something more professional. It must have been an intern reporter.

Newseek should know better. With an actress as talented as Penelope, with the diverse and demanding roles she’s played, I can’t believe that she has to put up with a stupid interview like that from a so-called credible news source.

Well, hello people, the reason for the interview is for the MOVIE, and if she can’t be asked questions about the MOVIE, then what the heck is the point of interviewing her? Geez, no one is saying how immature and rude it was to put that scene in the movie, but people are shunned when they ask the obvoius questions about it? “NW: OK, new subject. I read that you take in stray cats. Is that true?
PC: I have a couple, yes, that I have found in the streets.
“NW: And you keep them now?
“PC: Of course. I didn’t drown them in the river.”

17th!!! Penelope is so pretty!!! Always so posed and ready for action. I love her clothes, and she is so made-up all the time. I have never seen a bad picture of her.
