”He’s falling for this older woman,” director Richard Linklater says of Zac‘s character. ”She’s taking him for a bit of a ride.” She being Claire Danes, Zac‘s object of affection in the film.
Zac plays a high school student in the 1930′s who stumbles across the Mercury Theatre and his acting potential is soon realized by the theatre’s founder Orson Welles. Claire plays a perky production assistant–some pictures of her on the set of Orson can be found here.
Me and Orson Welles debuts on Friday, Sept. 5 at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
