John McCain to Sarah Palin: I Choose You!

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee John McCain chose Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his running mate at a campaign rally on Friday in Dayton, Ohio.

Governor Palin is a tough executive who has demonstrated during her time in office that she is ready to be president,” the McCain campaign said Friday. “Governor Palin has the record of reform and bipartisanship that others can only speak of. Her experience in shaking up the status quo is exactly what is needed in Washington today.”

This move will sure pick up a few of the Hillary Clinton voters!

Little known facts: Palin came in second place at the Miss Alaska pageant in 1984. The 44-year-old Idaho-native also is the mother of five children.

I was impressed by Governor Palin and congratulate her. She’s not afraid to stand up for what’s right and has the record to prove it. She may have been the Governor of Alaska for less than two years but you don’t have an 80% approval rating for doing nothing. Whether or not she garners any Clinton voters will not affect my choice.

GO MCCAIN! i love sarah palin she is an amazing speaker-she is GREAT! obama is stupid i wouldn’t vote for him just for coming out on that spaceship thing or whatever it was he came out on at the democratic national convention. OBAMA SUCKS! JOHN MCCAIN WILL WIN!

Wow. They are so underestimating women voters who backed Hillary. True Hillary’s believers are about what Hillary and many others have fault for the last century (which Obama see’s). And by nominating this woman it only set’s women back. McCain is so desperate it’s sad to watch.

#141, get your facts straight. Says:

Obama served 7 in years as a state legislator in the Illinois Senate in addition to 3 years as a U.S. Senator. That’s 5 times the amount Palin has served in any elected office worth anything.

    Dave Says:

Sarah Palin is an amazing strong and beautiful woman who will make Biden and Obama look like mean spirited whiners. She has an inner strength and moral fortitude which allows her to speak the truth and do the right thing. She would be a great Vice-President or President. She has an 80 percent approval rating, compared to less than 10 percent for Nancy Pelosi. She is exactly what this country needs. Obama is a Marxist who is trying to win by cult of personality. He has a Messiah complex.
Vote McCain/Palin this November if you love America!

Great choice McCain! You have my vote. Just like what Howie Carl caller said, ” For the very first time in my adult life I am proud to be a republican.” hehehe

Man, you people wake up! Obama’s past is so creepy, hanging out with that pastor for 20 something years. That’s enough for me. I’m quite nervous of him being in the white house and Michelle Obama, doesn’t she remind you of your mean homeroom teacher?

    Wally Says:

She is against a woman’s right to choose and she is anti- gay marriage, so how do all the rich Gays who run the upper echelons of the Republican Party square this. Nobody has the right to tell a woman what to do with her own body.

    remember da truth Says:

Extremely offensive that they think women believe any woman is the same, and that’s the only reason to vote for Hillary.

Jeez, Obama wasn’t picking Hillary EVER, and Hillary wasn’t wanting the second-place spot either — that was as much a media story as tabloid bulls*** is. Obama picked correctly — someone who is older and wiser where he is weakest. Have the guts to admit where you aren’t perfect and shore that up, like any good CEO does.
If you would vote for anything in a skirt just to vote for a woman, you weren’t really a Hillary supporter. You weren’t ever a thinking voter, either.

Hillary has spent decades fighting for the issues of women and children. And Hillary has more foreign policy experience both from the Senate and the years in the White House than this woman isolated up there in Alaska hunting moose. They are hardly interchangeable.

What kind of idiot would think they are??? What kind of idiot woman would fall for this ploy?!?! oh yeah– the kind of woman Republicans think all females are: bubble-headed, nothing more than reproductive machines that need to be told how to think and what to do by men.

    remember da truth Says:

I don’t know a SINGLE true Hillary supporter who wouldn’t vote for Obama. Maybe reluctantly, but they would still do it because the alternative is soooo different. And trust me, I know people who worked on her campaign and were bitter about Obama’s winning. Doesn’t matter. McCain is way worse, and everyone knows it.

It’s only the media that is cooking up some sort of Hillary support block that will throw away everything they worked for and believed in and vote for ideology that is the opposite of what they believe out of spite.

Give it up. Sure, the Republicans think that. They are out of touch with reality, And I have no doubt some bloggers on here might actually do that — after all, there are people here who believe anything in the tabloids. But no thinking voter jumps from one party that far to opposite ideology based on the fact that the running mate is the same gender as their chosen candidate. For God’s sake….. What is America coming to?

You have the right answer but wrong argument. If something should happen to McCain and the VP is made president, as has happened NINE times already in our short history, and needs to be considered with a 72 year old multiple cancer survivor, America would not be respected with THIS woman as president.

But “A” woman as president would not make us lose respect across the world. America is just about the last democracy to have a woman leader. Even Muslim countries have had female presidents! It has become so commonplace everywhere else that only America makes it a big deal.

Sarah has more experience than Obama. Not as much as some, but definitely more than him.

That being said however, NEITHER Obama or McCain are worth a s*it as a presidential candidate! Barack who is allowing all this celebrity to go to this head, and McCain who is just business as usual.

Either way you look at it, this country is f***ed!

    jules Says:

    # 150 Well said. There are a ton of other reasons not to vote for her. Just want this country needs another politician connected to the oil industry. Someone intent on destroying Alaska’s environment. She is the worst choice possible. McCain lost my vote. Go Obama

Destroying the environment? Really? I will never be able to get over all the tree huggers that are more worried about the alaskan tundra than they are the American Citizens.

Okay, so what do YOU propose we do to help the energy crisis? Or do you not think there is one?
