Parade was recently asked, “Was Katie Holmes offered the chance to reprise her role as Rachel Dawes in The Dark Knight.”

The mag responded, “Yes. She turned it down because she already was committed to Mad Money, with Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah. That comedy bombed at the box office, while The Dark Knight�”with Maggie Gyllenhaal, 30, in Katie‘s role�”is one of the highest-grossing films ever.
