Anne Hathaway (in Lela Rose) steps off a water taxi during the 2008 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday in Venice, Italy.
The 25-year-old actress is in Italy to talk about her role in the film, Rachel Getting Married where she plays a drama queen. The movie is competing at the festival for the sought-after Golden Lion Award.
Hathaway plays the character of Kym, where she returns home after the wedding of her sister played by Rosemarie DeWitt.
The Get Smart actress has been quite the busy-bee, recently stopping at the Democratic National Convention to support Barack Obama.
The actress told the Daily News: “My life didn’t begin when my relationship [with former boyfriend Rafaello Follieri] began. The most important thing for me is getting a Democrat into the White House.”

I don’t know what it is about her, but I really do not like her as a person or an actress. I think it’s because she tried so hard to get rid of her goody two shoes image by swearing and talking about sex and alcohol in interviews a few years ago and ever since then she just seems like a wannabe who lacks real class.
