Anne Hathaway is featured with some crazy crazy crazy hairstyles and dresses in the October 2008 issue of W Magazine. Here are some snippets:
On showing up for the W mag interview at all: “Right now I don’t have the wherewithal to be anything except professional. As soon as I found out about the arrest, I had to get on a plane to Mexico to do a press tour for Get Smart. And then I spent a week in shock at a friend’s house. And then I had to go back and do more press, and I haven’t stopped since. At different stages of my life, I’ve felt I’ve been two ages simultaneously. I’d be a professional working adult and also a typical 13-year-old. Right now I have the distinct feeling that I’m two ages again, and the older part of me that I relied on many times in the past in difficult moments, that’s the part that got me here today. That’s the part that says, ‘You do your job, you keep your head up.’”
On her time filming The Princess Diaries 2 at age 21: “I was not the most fun girl to be around. It was a very young moment for me. God love the patient, wonderful [director] Garry Marshall.” (Marshall adds, “She was great in the first picture, when she didn’t know much of anything, but in the second picture, she was an expert. That often happens. She wanted to play something different by then; she didn’t want to keep the tiara on. I remember at a junket,” he adds, laughing, “she was talking Nietzsche and Schopenhauer, and Disney was getting nervous, and I said, ‘Annie, why don’t you talk about your hair a little; we’ll talk Nietzsche later.’ But that’s why I love Annie! When you look in her eyes, somebody’s always home, which is rare.”

FYI: Anne‘s ex Raffaello Follieri pleaded guilty today for fraud and money laundering. “I know what I did was wrong,” he said.

She has a classy look, like Keria Knightly but she can pull off allot of modern things such as this photoshoot. Love her. :)

Sorry. I don’t think Anne looks good on any of these pictures. Her face looks really skinny and horse faced like, Amy Winehouse. Especially the with the heavy eyeliner.
W needs to do a photoshoot on Natalie Portman. Natalie would make the magazine sell!

W magazine is just famous for these kind of odd, weird, strange or whatever photoshoots and I think it should keep going on this way… Better than ususal pose, dresses and characters… Indeed, people who pose for it are always strangely beautiful in its outtakes…

I love the W photoshoots, too, they’re always unique and creative. And this interview snip made me want to go out and buy the magazine itself! I was an extra on the set of Princess Diaries 2, what an amazing set that was, too! God, it was huge, and so, so detailed. Garry marshall has a way about him, like an aura, a warmth and gentle charisma which infuses any film he directs.
I like how Hathaway thinks! I never knew she was such a thinker, my interest in her has piqued dramatically since reading this interview clip. But I have to say, that W magazine photograph of her looks nothing like her. It’s a beautiful photograph, and amazing makeup & hair but it doesn’t look like it is Anne Hathaway. What a trip…

W always does weird photo takes.
And yes Jillian Anne has lost weight, with all the rip-run surrounding her break up with her weasel of an ex I wouldn’t blame her for loosing a stone.
But she still looks healthy.
I find it hard to believe that no one who looked at the proofs of those pictures didn’t see the horrible resemblance to Amy Winehouse, and say something like, I think we’ve got a problem here. I certainly am not rushing out to buy that issue. She’s a beautiful girl but those pics have not done her any favors.
I always found her looks rather boring but she has proved me wrong, stunning, unique photos.

She should go out with Chris Pine (her co-star in PD2). That young man is going to be so famous in 2009. He is intelligent, talented, well-mannered and handsome. He is 2 years older than her.
Is she that nerd girl from “She’s All That” who got a make-over? I hate it when plain girls wash their hair and put on make-up and suddenly think they’re all that.
