Olivia Fisher-Duddy -- Joely Fisher's New Daughter!

Joely Fisher and her husband Christopher Duddy have adopted a baby girl, reports People.

Olivia Luna Fisher-Duddy joins older brothers, Cameron, 22, Collin, 20, and sisters, Skylar, 7, and True, 2.

“They are all blissfully happy and enjoying their new baby sister,” says Joely‘s rep, Brit Reece.

Star reports Olivia is an African-American infant from South Central Los Angeles.

Joely and Chris were inspired by Angelina Jolie and Madonna‘s decisions to adopt a baby from Africa,” a family friend tells the mag. “But after looking into the adoption process, they realized there were so many children in the L.A. area who needed homes.” (Joely visited with children in Mozambique in August.)

excellent!! Being a good person is never overrated.

That is wonderful, as long as they adopted because they really wanted another child, and NOT because she wants to keep up with the Jolie-pitts!

That’s wonderful! Congrats to the Fisher/Duddy family.

I like the fact that an American family adopted an American Child. How many of her children are adopted?

This is just wonderful. God bless the Fisher-Duddy family.

I love the fact that they adopted a child in our own country. I just love it.

  • well

Any child who is adopted into a loving family is good news. But the Star? Unless they actually comfirm it i would suspect it. Especially the whole bit about being inspired by Angelina Jolie and Madonna. They are not the only people who have adopted. oh and the part about adopting in this country is just a wee bit over the top. no need to put that there. They should have just said that Fisher adopted a girl from LA. End of story.

what a beautiful story! it’s wonderful to pay it forward. I applaud Fisher/Duddy for spreadind their love to another human being.

  • Barbara defranco

good for them! there are so many babies and children in our country that need loving homes. so cool they adopted outside of their race, even if it is slightly “trendy.”

Whether you adopt from oversees or adopt from inside the United States….CHILDREN NEED LOVING PARENTS!

Its a wonderful thing they did….but anyone prioritizing needy children in the U.S. and needy, abandoned, malnutritioned and neglected children in poor 3rd world countries oversees do not understand the issue and sound IGNORANT!

God bless all adoptive families for seeing a need and filling it…

I find Angelina Jolie especially inspiring because she did it before it was fashionable, and when she was a single parent, as opposed to Madonna who did it after being married…

still and all, its a fine thing to do.

Congratulations! I applaud anyone who welcomes into their lives a child no matter race, country, ethincity. It’s just a beautiful important thing to do and God bless them all.

queen bee, you sound IGNORANT by calling people who don’t agree with you ignorant. I always believed that charity and kindness is supposed to start at home. You clearly do not read enough newspapers or watch the news. There are plenty of children in the U.S. who are starving, abused, neglected, and suffering from malnutrition, and some of these children live in a two-parent home. Keep that in mind you patronising, IGNORANT fool!
