Jessica Alba is Hannibal Lecter

Jessica Alba is Hannibal Lecter

Jessica Alba channels her inner-Hannibal Lecter with a muzzled mask in the newest image in Declare Yourself’s provocative campaign to compel young people to register and vote rather than “silencing themselves.” (She also appeared in a gag and bindings in last month’s campaign.)

Declare Yourself is a youth voter initiative aimed at energizing young adults to participate in the 2008 election.

“These images, while incredibly unsettling, are extremely compelling to today’s young adults,” said Marc Morgenstern, Declare Yourself Executive Director. “With less than 40 days left until the national election, we deliberately chose vivid and startling imagery to break through and underscore the grave consequences of not voting and in effect muzzling oneself.”

yes, young voters should vote! However they should make an informed decision. Really read on who you want to lead you the next four years.

It never fails to intrique me that all the Hollywood stars speak out for the Democaratic ticket. They have no clue what real like is like. Live a day in my shoes, and you would consider both sides.

so much for voting psas @ 10/01/2008 at 10:37 pm

Well after the debacle with the senate passing this $700b bill (it’s a sure bet the house will pass it) when the majority of Americans are against it, there will probably be a lot of people not voting. Because the government just showed us tonight that our voice don’t matter! They work for themselves! I am so angry right now that I am like another guy who said he and his family will be voting Daffy Duck for president.

I also will definitely be voting out the Senators who voted for this rushed Bush scare tactic $700BILLION DOLLAR debt that is now added on to the TRILLIONS of Dollars he will be leaving the taxpayers come January 2009! God Help America because we have been just sold out!

Umm, let me rephrase one sentence.

The government works for the SUPER RICH not America!

they aren’t necessarily telling you to vote democratic, they just want you to vote.

# 7

I will vote – for McCain

Is that what Ms. Alba had in mind?

okay, this is starting to get LAME!!!!!! WE GET IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is stupidity at it’s finest. If they are trying to reach the younger crowd that clearily aren’t watching any news, reading the paper, etc. I would just rather they not vote. It’s worse to make an uninformed decision than to make one at all. HollyWood doesn’t get it, they are doing exactly what they did to Al Gore. Obama is going to blame his loss on Hollywood, as he should. I know that this specific ad doesn’t include him, but every other one has.

When is Hollywood going to get that we DON’T CARE who they support?? We are adults who can make our own decisions!!! I HATE their advertising and posturing for their candidates. MAKES ME SICK.

marty, I agree. Most young people vote Democratic, cause they don’t have a clue what it means to work hard yet. They are too idealistic and naive. They always go for the slick talking charmers. Wait til they have to work, and then have their taxes raised to the roof by some “charming” Democrat, who will give all their hard-earned money to programs that will waste the money, to illegal aliens, etc. It’s sickening. Open your eyes people. That’s not the answer either.

people need to chill out.
no need to create some controversy on a GOSSIP site.

politics aside, i really don’t like these ads with jessica alba. its just so disturbing. anyone agree?

Alba is perfect for this photo b/c she is a ***** and never smiles, not a stretch here ! If young people are persuaded by these hollywood pawns then they deserve the consequences they get ! ! Snap ! !

IF ALL THE RICH AND POWERFUL, ALL CELEBRITIES, AND ALL THE NEWS ANCHORS, JOURNALISTS, REPORTERS, COMMENTATORS WANT OBAMA, WELL THEN THAT TELLS ME WHO I SHOULD VOTE FOR MCCAIN

The ad is stupid. I can’t imagine something like that would inspire anyone to do anything, but puke.

I love how republicans bash celebs for backing Obama. I guarantee that if they were all supporting the McCain/Palin ticket it would be a totally differant story!

freakin hypocrites.

she really does some freaky photoshoots

I love posts like these because all the mccain loving idiots make their way through when this has nothing to do with who to vote for but mainly JUST TO VOTE.

Puke.

Rape. Victim. Is. Not. The. Right. Image. To. Inspire.

Bissh.

ughhhh…that photo/ad gave me the creeps.

stupid idea!

… I really wish I hadn’t seen this picture. It immediately made me uncomfortalbe :/

This Alba chik is stupid….i hate these photos of her….she just needs work….and is hoping to get some from this…geeez….they really think this inspires me to vote for their O bama? No…it irks me and makes me NOT want to vote for him….

Oh ok, I guess I’ll go vote now that Jessica Alba told me to. What do they think we are idiots?

Who is Jessica (makes a living off of showing her a*s) off Alba anyone to tell me who to vote for??
I’m voting for McCain, hope that makes miseralba happy :)

Ugh. These people in Hollywood are so arrogant to think that we will all run out and do what they say to do?

We know what that ad implies….
