Just a few short years after ditching journalism to become an actor, Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford is an object of fan adulation and tabloid speculation. Here’s his cover look for VMan and snippets from his interview:
On noticing Gossip Girl’s crossover into the adult world: “I’ll be out on the golf course, and some guy will come up to me, sort of sheepishly, and be like, ‘Hey, my wife really loves the show. Can I get a picture with you?’ They’re always super embarrassed. And I’m like, ‘C’mon man, you love the show.’ Women get their husbands or boyfriends sucked into it. I like to see that.”
On realizing he’s been cast for his good looks: “There are a lot of adverse effects of being a certain type, which I am. Look, I wouldn’t be in the business if I didn’t feel I had what it takes to have longevity. Everyone has a certain castability, or quality they’re always going to have to fight. I think the best remedy is to reinvent yourself. I’m not going to take the same type of role in the future.”
On having a a career strategy mapped out: “I want to do the edgy independent movies, like DiCaprio did, but you have to balance it out. It’s about carving out your leading-man role. Fight Club? Yes! X-Men? Yes! All sorts of different films. American Beauty? Yes! I don’t know if I could pull off a Kevin Spacey, but I’ll try!”

I’m sorry, I meant to stay positive…but, this is unacceptable…This really pisses me off…Sometimes you fashionistas that are creating a look need to NOT PRESS SO HARD TO CREATE A DIFFERENT IMAGE…..!!!! I know I could have done better.

very arrogant isnt he? he just assumes everyone watches his show..nice way to keep yourself grounded dude…..,ive tried watching this show but it was so cheap looking and i couldnt understand what anyone was doing..i kept waiting for someone to stand up and say “who the **** cares!? ” and whats up with that dude who always looks like he sucked a lemon ? (or a **** for that matter)
i know the show is supposed to be hyperbole but really? really? none of these kids act like any high schoolers ive ever known..no one on the show smokes pot or listens to led zeppelin …prehaps im just getting old…..

#7 Alana, NO….he does not look like Zac Efron when he was in Hairspray…but, I won’t knock your opinion…you are entitled to that…and for a moment, I did think that’s what the publication wanted to accomplish…sorry, it didn’t work.
Betty, #10…As everyone is entitled to their opinions….Yes, some fashionista thought it was ideal to make him a replica of some fifties era guy…and they failed…the photographer, makeup, stylist, and even Chace…it’s not a beautiful picture of him at all, and he’s a beautiful man, and this is how they repay him….V man insulted him big time…why waste that look on him…just put a model on the cover for pete’s sake. Okay, the plaid shot looks okay, but as for the rest, shame on that crew for defacing such a beauty. Those pics are not his best angles.

Wow, Chace is a very gorgeous & handsome guy, but these pictures are awful! They made him look like a 50′s doo-wop boy; this style is really awful.
I can’t take the pompadour haircut with the plaid sports jacket and bow tie. What did they do to our beautiful Chace?! The team at VMan can seriously go f*ck themselves, just terrible.
Holy trainwreck! Chace is a hottie, but this style is not working for him.
