Men's Vogue Goes Biannual

More bad news for magazines!

Men’s Vogue is scaling back from a 10 times a year magazine, to two issues a year.

According to WWD, the mag’s operations are being folded back into Vogue. The mag employed about 40 editorial staff members.

Just last month, CosmoGirl! announced it was folding.

Which mag will be announcing its doomsday next??

Sorry to hear but frankly there are way too many magazines crowding the racks anyway and a lot of what’s in one is in the others.
I use to work for a major book chain and most of the stuff thats folding never sold anyway, we’d just strip the covers off, retuurn for credit and dispose the rest. A waste of time and paper.
Now if we can only get Pottery Barn to send less catalogs.
And remember…recycle, recycle :)

Men’s Vogue’s target was the mature group whilst this market had been already occupied by GQ & Esquire, especially the latter one. Hence, MV is just boring.

Men’s Vogue is boring and nothing like GQ. Its like boring, I’m a girl but I like reading men magazine and when I picked up Men’s vogue, everything scream ‘boring’. They try to hit it with mature adult thing, but they didn’t pull it off like other men magazine. Nothing with editorial in there either.

Mens Vogue was boring mainly because Ms. Anna Wintour put her favorite men on the cover. They were mostly men nobody in the States cared about (her main man Roger Federer, for instance). Sorry to say but it’s impossible to put someone most people in America have never heard of and expect to sale magazines for $4.00!!!

As for who is next to go . . . Please God, let it be the National Enquirer and/or Life&Style or OK or any of those awful rag mags!!! Please, please, pretty please!!!
