Cate Blanchett and her family take a walk around their home in Sydney, Australia on Tuesday afternoon.
The 39-year old Australian actress held onto six-month-old Ignatius in a Baby Bjorn Synergy carrier. She and screenwriter-husband, Andrew Upton took turns holding the baby while Dashiell, 6, dressed in a Darth Vader tee, and Roman, 4, stuck to their parent’s sides throughout the walk. I just feel something is not right about this marriage. The balance of power is way too much in her favor — she has the looks, the career, the money. I’d like to believe in fairy tales, and that she loves him for his gentle soul or something, but… I don’t.
It might be an open marriage, meaning she can sleep around while he raises the kids. Kind of like Tilda Swinton’s marriage. I have a feeling this goes on quite a bit, as feminist revenge for all those years of male domination. But it’s very unattractive for women to act like men.
It was a beautiful day on Tuesday, and today for that matter.

#12, I really doubt it. I’ve met the two, they are very genuine people. It seems that they have found each others soulmates. Her husband is a very well respected playwright and theatre director. Career wise, they are on equal footing, no doubt.

You’ll find that whenever she talks her husband she seems totally in love. Just because he doesn’t have a high profile doesn’t mean he’s not worthy of her attention.
