Gwyneth Paltrow: Happy Thanksgiving!

Gwyneth Paltrow would like to wish you all a Happy Turkey Day!

In her latest GOOP newsletter, the 36-year-old actress shares “six different perspectives on what it means to be grateful for Thanksgiving” from Cynthia Bourgeault (Episcopal priest), Michael Berg (Co-Director of the Kabbalah Centre), Deepak Chopra (President of the Alliance for A New Humanity), Dennis Genpo Merzel (founder of an international Zen community), Kabir Helminski (Co-director of The Threshold Society) and Dr. Karen Binder-Brynes (NYC psychologist).

Here’s a snippet of Berg‘s quote: “There is an important Kabbalistic concept that states that we are only receiving a small percentage of the joy and fulfillment all these things can give us. Whether it’s the joy we feel with our spouse or friends, or the happiness and love we feel towards our kids, right now, at this moment, our experience can be many times greater than what it is (even if it’s already good). This is because our joy and fulfillment is dependent and exactly correlated to our appreciation of these blessings… More energy, and therefore fulfillment, can be flowing to us – when we strengthen and grow our gratitude. Appreciation and giving thanks actually unlocks more Light and energy from relationships and even physical objects, so that in turn, we can receive more fulfillment from them.”

It’s sad if you don’t get anything about Thanksgiving. It’s about being thankful and having a gathering of friends and family, just like the very first one. This morning I’m thankful for Gwyneth’s nice quote.

That’s not Gwyneth’s quote. It’s just a copy and paste job of a whole bunch of doctors’ quotes.

I think the point of this must be just to keep Gwynneth busy doing something. She doesn’t appear to have any movies lined up, she is not an in-demand actress and she’s not that popular. I find it weird that she would do a website like this, it’s odd, it’s like something Lindsay Lohan would do!!

I’m sorry but what a bunch of sappy parroting nonsense! Half of it doesn’t make sense and the other half is too much description for a very simple concept. I think the most fitting phrase is stuffing 10 pounds of crap in a 5 pound bag.

i like her, i think she’s a good actress and initially admired her for her style and class. she really didn’t have that much mass appeal (if she had any at all) to begin with and i think through the years of her coming off as a snob (intentionally or not), specially her stab at her own country in that infamous interview regardless whether or not it was taken out of context, really nailed the coffin on her popularity with the masses. i dunno, this website seems to be like an effort to appear approachable but i think it’s just irritating her haters even more.

i think people of a certain class (higher of course) will always like her for her upbringing and style but that’s such a small amount compared to what she could’ve gained had she been more… humble.

I couldn’t care less what Gwynnie has to say. She should concentrate on not being such a b!tch and leave the cults, all of them, alone.

“G-d has set forth in His word the conditions upon which every soul will be elected to eternal life- obedience to His commandments, through faith in Jesus Christ. G-d has elected a character in harmony with His law, and ANYONE WHO SHALL REACH THE STANDARD OF HIS REQUIREMENT WILL HAVE AN ENTRANCE INTO THE KINGDOM OF GLORY.”

Jesus said, “Not everyone that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL THE WILL OF MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN (Heaven might be what scientists today would call a parallel universe).

“Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.” (Revelation 22:14)

“Every soul is elected who will work out his own salvation with fear and trembling.”
“He is elected who will put on the armour and fight a good fight of faith”
“He is elected who will watch unto prayer, who will search the Scriptures, and flee temptation.”
“He is elected who will have faith continually, and who will be obedient to every word that proceedeth out from the mouth of G-d.”
“The provisions are free TO ALL; THOSE who have complied with the conditions will enjoy the results of redemption.”
