James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff hold hands at The 2008 British Independent Film Awards at The Old Billingsgate, London on Sunday.
The 29-year-old actor and his actress wife served on the jury for the event and then later hung out with Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller.
McAvoy recently named Anne Hathaway as his pick to win this year’s best actress Oscar for her role in Rachel Getting Married. “Anne Hathaway has that indefinable quality of making an audience identify with the character she is playing,” he explained.

James McAvoy is the best young actor on the planet and I think he is uber-sexy. None of us can help what we are born with — his nose might be a bit large but he sure is sexy and OMG this man can act! He is intelligent and convincing in his roles and the other best thing about him is that he is completely dedicated to his marriage! He and Anne Marie are awesome and private — not like the attention whores in Hollywood. The UK can be proud of Mr. & Mrs. McAvoy, they are a class act..

He IS gorgeous. To all those idiots who say he’s homely or looks drugged or has a strange nose – you’re so blinded by fake hollywood beauties that you forgot what a real person looks like. And James is a real person, and his beauty shines through it, and through his amazing acting. He’s perfect.

James is a great guy as well as extremely talented actor. He is very handsome and his beauty is in his eyes, in his emotions and ways he acts. He is a real man and nothing should be changed in his appearance – it’s perfect (and incredible sexy) – I think women understand me. Hollywood standards are boring – it’s like a beautiful doll – it’s very eye-filling but than it’s getting bored… But he is different, he is personality and he conquered the world of cinema not with the help of ideal look but with his personality qualities and talent. I adore him from the first film I’ve seen with him – “Inside I’m dancing” (what can be less sexy than unmoving body? nevertheless I’ve fallen in love with him from that moment) not to speak of “Atonement” – it’s extremely exciting… I’ll be the happiest girl in the world if I ever meet him!
