Actress Tara Reid has check into rehab according to People.
“Tara Reid has checked herself into Promises Treatment Center. We appreciate your respect to her and her family’s privacy at this time,” said the actress’s rep Jack Ketsoyan. No additional information was given regarding what Tara was being treated for.
“Her friends and family are supportive of her decision. She checked in herself – it was her decision,” said a friend.

She only wants publicity (we weren’t talking about her, i can assure you that). But, the fashion of checking into rehab is off, better luck with you next attempt of being an “it” girl

Not surprising, but there’s something about her that I feel sorry for. I hate that so many people kick her around when she’s drunk and down. She’s ill, I hope she cleans up and rejuvenates her career and turns it all around.

Can we say ALCOHOL AND PRESCRIPTION DRUGS?……On another site recently, it was made known by a family member, what her problems were….and they were going in for an intervention, if she did not commit herself….I guess the envitable was at hand, and she chose the least embarrasing route….

It amazes me how cruel people can be on these forums, under the disguise of usernames & then people wonder why there is no world peace! ANYWHOO…
I think she is a brave young woman to publicly admit that she has such a personal problem (it’s hard enough to admit it to yourself) and from what I’ve heard, her stay was successful.
I admire people like her who have the courage to face their downfalls and seek help in fixing them.
I don’t believe she is doing this for the publicity, as we all know with the paparazzi and the press, it was bound to eventually hit the media, so you can’t blame her for that. As far as I’m aware, she did not tell the press she was going in and if she truly wanted the publicity, she would have had endless interviews of why she was going in, she chose to keep that to herself. Tara should be applauded for her courage and not be put down for it And yes, I DO care about Tara, or any fellow human being who is going through hard times!
