OlderPenn Badgley's Got Balls
Gossip Girl hunk Penn Badgley grows a pair for the latest issue of GQ (the one with necktie naked Jennifer Aniston on the cover).
We learn that the 22-year-old actor was named after the Penn tennis balls his dad nervously squeezed during his mom’s first sonogram.
Penn also admits that playing Dan Humphrey is way too easy. He says, “I can do this role with my eyes closed and my arms behind my back. What I’m looking for now is something challenging… I always joke with the show’s creators, ‘Anytime you want me to do drugs or contemplate suicide, I’ll do it.’ ”

Best actor on the show…been of a fan of him since his Do Over days..he reminds me of a young Johnny Depp and like the person said above..Heath Ledger. I expect to see very good things from him once his Gossip Girl days are over.

This interview pretty much sums him up as a HUGE DOUCHE. I get that he wants to be “challenged,” but A) work with what you’re given and make it better before trying to move on to harder stuff, and B) don’t say that in a national magazine!
It just makes him sound ungrateful and, yeah, jealous of Ed for getting to play Chuck. News flash, Penn: Ed made Chuck as popular as he is. You have yet to do that with Dan.

hes not arrogant…hes confident. hes right…hes mastered the dan character and its so clear that he has potential to do much deeper roles too. he is going to go very far. great actor.
