Kanye West Parody Flames Pitch Auto-Correction

Kanye West Parody Flames Pitch Auto-Correction

A new Kanye West parody has been unleashed, titled “Kevye West: 808′s and Expirations Dates (Guac Lockdown)” (an obvious pun on Kanye‘s latest album, 808s and Heartbreak).

The video’s description reads: “Pitch auto-correction and a simple beat can make anything chart-worthy; even a freestyle about guacamole and expired milk.”

Check it out below — the tape over the sunglasses is genius!

For a live performance of Kanye performing “Heartless” on SNL, check out DailyMotion. His pitch vocal auto-correctors reportedly weren’t functioning properly that performance.

it was ok as a parody i guess, on the trend of having nonsensical lyrics over a decent beat in the music scene these days. but it’d have been better if the tune was a real kanye song. also, the part about donda west being dead is really uncalled for. that’s disrespect yo.

    hahaha Says:

Kanye West sucks and so does this…

    Maja Says:

Seriously? That’s just not right. It’s all funny until you mention someone’s real tragedy, like a mother’s death…

    Erica Says:

This was one parody that wasn’t even funny. And to top it off, they added the “my mamas dead” at the end. Cruel, Kanye’s mom just passed away.

    boo Says:

wait, sh-tney, madonna, lady googoo, and every other person in the music business user a vocoder or pitch control BUT kanye gets called out for it??? Leave him alone.

    iola Says:

    nice. LMAO.
me is a kanye fan can laugh about this. but the part bout his mom was wrong. too far.

    lynn Says:

I liked everything except the ‘my mother is dead’ part.
He deserves a ***** slap for that. It’s just disrespectful.

it was kinda funny.. but the whole mother dead part wasnt needed.. Expect Kanye to get at them now.

    Brittany Says:

It was kinda funny but like everyone is saying, the “my mothers dead” is what took it too far.

This actually serves to make kanye look even better.

    APG Says:

Totally with everyone else. The mother comment was disrespectful and classless. Other than that it was funny.

    tokrez Says:

I don’t see why it’s so offensive to say his mom is dead it’s true and he doesn’t say anything bad about her. He has no talent and thinks the world owes him something and wines when he doesn’t win an award because he has no talent.

  23. 23
    tokrezneedsabrain Says:

First of all Kanye does have talent. If he didn’t he wouldn’t be who he is today. What he’s doing now is risky, but, I still like it. This video is corny and something you’d see on Madtv. Unoriginal and not funny at all. The comment about Kanye’s mother makes this video is more annoying and idiotic. The jerk off sell out who is trying to get some fame from Kanye mentions “My mother’s dead” for that reason. Expect Kanye west to put this asswhole on blast.

I like this vid because it makes a statement. I am so sick of auto-corrected vocals. This vid pokes fun of people who can’t sing and make recordings with their voices “fixed” to sound like they can actually hold a note. Kanye West is a big example of a vocal fake that uses that crap.
