Jett Travolta Dead at 16 (John Travolta's Son)

Jett Travolta, the 16-year-old son of John Travolta has died after suffering a seizure at his family’s vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island.

Travolta‘s attorney, Michael Ossi, tells Reuters that attempts were made to revive him, but he died at the scene.

Access reports Jett fell and hit his head on a bathtub at the hotel. TMZ reports Jett was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital.

Travolta, 54, wife Kelly Preston, 46, and their family had been vacationing in the Bahamas. Travolta and Preston also have a daughter, Ella, 8.

Travolta has said Jett suffered from Kawasaki Syndrome (a condition that leads to heart disease in rare cases). Preston has also said Jett suffered from asthma and blamed household cleaners, fertilizers and pesticides for sparking the condition. According to People, she credited a detoxification program based on the writings of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard with helping to improve Jett‘s health.

Our deepest condolences go out to the Travolta family and friends.

That’s really a damn shame. I hope they reached out to the professional medical community and didn’t leave any stone unturned due to certain beliefs, though what will be, will be.

I hope that this is NOT because he didn’t receive the proper treatment because of the cult of scientology.

It may have been some type of accident.

Let’s wait and see……

So sad!! I know how hard it is for a parent to bury a child. My prayer goes out to the Travoltas.

Poor Jett!! He had a sad life. His parents refused to get him treatment for autism and kept him hidden away. There are no “damaged” children in scientology, you know!! At least now he’s free!! I hope he rests in peace.

“With early treatment, rapid recovery from the acute symptoms can be expected and the risk of coronary artery aneurysms greatly reduced. Untreated, the acute symptoms of Kawasaki disease are self-limited (i.e. the patient will recover eventually), but the risk of coronary artery involvement is much greater. Overall, about 2% of patients die from complications of coronary vasculitis.”

Oh no, I’m reading red flags. Only 2% die from complications? Early treatment is vital and gives rapid recovery?

“Overall, life-threatening complications resulting from therapy for Kawasaki disease are exceedingly rare, especially compared with the risk of non-treatment.”

Omg dude…

Anyway, I remember also watching a case of this on Mystery Diagnosis on Discovery Health. Crazy.
