Meryl Streep definitely looks the part of superchef Julia Child in this new movie still from the upcoming biopic Julie & Julia, out August 7.
But will she sound the part?
‘‘Meryl turned into Julia Child and did two sentences in her voice,” recalls director Nora Ephron. ”And I thought to myself, ‘Well, look no further.”’
EW says the movie will be “a mix of the chef’s memoirs and the true-life story of a bored secretary (Amy Adams) who spices up her life by tackling Child‘s recipes.”

OMG!!!! I want to see this movie now!!! Meryl Streep is an amazing actress and watching her tackle Julia Child is going to great!!!! She’s still proving to us that she can do absolutly anything!!!! The only downside is having to wait sooo long to see it lol!

I really believe that Meryl and Amy should do all their movies together. Even though they have no scenes together in Julie/Julia, they were great together in Doubt. Great chemistry.

Adore Meryl Streep’s acting and so pleased she’s playing the great Julia Child….I miss her entertaining shows as I started cooking in the 60′s with her cookbook.
aww i used to watch julia child when i was younger! i always thought it was cool because we had the same name. haha i was young :p
great actress and botox free! Meryl showed us that there are a lot of good things left showing your real age and not stuff it with silicon etc
