Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl keep close in this new movie still from their upcoming rom-com The Ugly Truth, out April 3.
Plot details: A romantically challenged morning-show producer (Heigl) is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her male chauvinist correspondent (Butler) to prove his theories on relationships and allow her to find love. His clever ploys, however lead to an unexpected result.
”They embark on this ridiculous pairing of two people who are from polar opposite sides of the issue,” Heigl tells EW. ”The whole men are from Mars, women are from Venus thing… [In comparison to my last romantic comedy,] it’s not so soft, and everything isn’t so perfect. This movie was just a little more edgy…enough to make it at least more interesting to the guys who take their girlfriends.”

After a gratuitous absence of several weeks from the pages of JJ, it’s absolutely wonderful to see such a compelling comeback by Gerard Butler. More of THE MAN please, daily doses preferred!

If you are going to praise her because you are paid for it, then use something original and believable, not ‘she is amazing actress’, ‘she is so pretty’ YEAH RIGHT!

Oh man thats the funniest thing I think I have read in a long time – someone actually thinking Heigl’s PR people are posting. Yeah PR people are being paid to post on the world famous Just Jared blog page. Doh. LOL.
Maybe Milli it is people who are just the opposite to you – clearly you don’t like Ms. Heigl and spend a lot of time posting on blogs telling everyone (how sad is that by the way) – so much so you posted twice on this one (at least!).
Personally I hope the movie is decent..the R Rating should mean it is not a standard rom com. Katherine Heigl is an absolute star and Butler is a good foil. I think it will work very well.

carry the film as he is extremely popular and hot.
i like that this one is going to be much, much edgier and raucous than what we’ve seen in other movies of this genre. This one has an R rating and i can’t wait to see Gerry as sort of a rogue again.

I like Gerard (he was terrific in 300) but wouldn’t see the movie just because he is in it. Katherine Heigl on the other hand I would watch in pretty much anything. She’s that good and I have had a crush on her for years!
Heigl is sweet, what’s up with all the hate? she looks great, she might be not the greatest actress around, but who cares about acting nowadays. They’ll just cast her in some cheesy sex comedy and that’s it :)

Isn’t this the same plot as that movie with Kate Hudson and Matthew McConnaughey did awhile back? Hmm, between Kate Hudson and Katherine, think Kathering is the better romcom actress so far (but she’s also annoying).
I don’t really like either one of them, but the movie looks interesting. I hated P.S I Love you and the only good thing about 27 dresses was the bar scene.
His body is so thick and hot. I love his accent and his causal f**k it look. He is tasty and I bet this movie will be hot. As usual, he will carry it. PSILY stunk!!! Hillary Swank was awful and the best part was the first 10 minutes with Gerard when he was alive. In the very next scene at his funeral, I knew I was in for a long night. Ugh, I hated that movie!
