OlderTaylor Swift Scores SNL Gig
America’s Bestselling Album Artist of 2008 Taylor Swift will be this week’s musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
“I just found out that I get to play on SNL!!” the 19-year-old country crooner just confirmed. “January 10th! It’s my mom’s birthday, and I don’t think either of us would’ve believed you if you would’ve told us a few years ago that we’d get to spend her birthday in New York City — at Saturday Night Live! Wow. It’s pretty unreal.”
Later this week, Taylor is also expected to shoot he music video to her upcoming single, “White Horse”.
SNL airs Saturday @ 11:30PM ET/PT on NBC.

Newsflash for the delusional Jonas fans : they barely sold 1 million copies of their 2008 album(released since August 2008) while she has sold more than 2.5 million copies of Fearless since Nov 2008 and guess what–the album is still number 1 !(beating out Britney and Beyonce)
Am I the only person that thinks she is a awful!!!! singer??? She’s passable on her cds and radio but at award shows and on SNL she was really terrible. Totally out of tune for both songs. UGH!
Yeah, me too! She really sucked on SNL. Maybe it’s nerves for her, although by now she should be able to perform better than that after all the performances (I assume) she’s given. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure she’s a great person, and her newest song sounds great on the radio, but, let’s face it – she sounds BAD live. Studios can obviously work magic if this is how she sounds live versus on an album… I just can’t respect an artist unless they do sound good live. There are too many great artists out there putting in their time playing out and sounding amazing live for her to last long sounding like she does. Come on America – find some real talent and stop supporting this kind of (manufactured?) crap! (Sorry Taylor – prove me wrong.)

big deal, she can write a song, but that’s the only thing she’s talented at. she can carry a tune when she sings, but other than that, there’s nothing more to it. i heard her sing umbrella, and it wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t good either
