Katherine Heigl spends the day in LA out and about cruising the sights with her mother, Nancy Heigl on Monday (January 12).

At the 2009 People’s Choice Awards, Katherine picked up the PCA trophy for Favorite Comedy Movie for 27 Dresses, beating out Get Smart and Mamma Mia!

Katherine‘s co-star Melissa George, just confirmed that she will be leaving Grey’s Anatomy. “I love the show so much,” George told EW. “I’ve made some beautiful friends. I love T.R. Knight. I love Patrick Dempsey, Justin Chambers… I adore Ellen Pompeo. I think she’s a strong, incredible woman. And Katherine Heigl is the most beautiful creature on Earth.”
