Beyonce Belts It Out for Barack

Beyonce performs in front of the Lincoln Memorial during the “We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration At The Lincoln Memorial” at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on Sunday.

The 27-year-old singer will be performing “At Last” as the first dance for the Obama‘s after the inauguration.

President-elect Barack Obama spoke at the celebration and addressed the crowd, saying “Welcome to this celebration of American renewal. In the course of our history, only a handful of generations have been asked to confront challenges as serious as the ones we face right now. I stand here today as hopeful as ever that the United States of America will endure. That it will prevail; that the dream of our founders will live on in our time!”

Beyonce did a fantastic job, and she’s a hot woman. Definitely no complaints from me.

being the best is having the TALENT and the ability to pull in crowds like she does worldwide. she has had longevity and fans from around the world that are old, young, black, white, men, women, and everything you could think of. they know who the best is.
And people wouldn’t waste so much of their time trying to criticizing her for every little thing she does either if she wasn’t one of the best artists out there today. they get the most criticism and still overcome it with their unique god-given talents.

And she wouldn’t be asked to perform for the president(twice) if she was just some “overrated chick” either. So she obviously isn’t!

I loved her outfit. All of the artists seemed excited and proud during their performances. It was very uplifting to watch.

Oh cool, Rhianna + Britney are equal to Beyonce, and all three are subsequently equal to Barbara Streisand and Madonna and Whitney Houston etc. since Beyonce is equal to them =) Thanks for clearing that up!

I loved the whole concert. U2, Stevie Wonder, John Mellencamp and Garth Brooks rocked the crowd. Beyonce is totally awesome, and her performance moved me and my mom so much.

Beyonce is one of the best singers I’ve ever seen. It’s hard to find that much talent and beauty in one person. She’s the complete package.

Beyonce did an amazing job yesterday. I love how she was the star of all stars yesterday….that closing was epic, only fit for someone truly deserving and talented (as she is). Tomorrow she will have the honor of singing for the Obama’s first dance…another staple in history. Say what you want, but Beyonce is a class act, and none of your hateful comments or negativity will ever be able to change that. She is a bonafide superstar in every sense of the word.

Where was OPRAH? Why didn’t she speak at the Lincoln Memorial???

    Lisa Says:

Why are people making this about Beyonce? This has nothing to do with her….this has to do with Obama. ALL the performers did great and ALL Americans are a part of history!

This is exactly why some people don’t like Bey and her stans because they try and make everything about her.

I didn’t watch the concert yesterday, but I saw Beyonce perform in October.

She’s beautiful, plus she’s a great dancer and singer. Plus, I like that she writes a lot of her own music. I was definitely a fan after that concert.

Beyonce was amazing. It was a very moving performance.
As of now Beyonce is the only artist good enough to do that.

Can you imagine. Seriously imagine Britney do that “ah ga ga” or what about Rihanna (tone deaf), Whitney (not a good thing right now), Mariah (miss piggy), Barbara Streisand (everyone will be alseep), Celine Dion (she would probably get on the stage and sing the Titanic song)

    wha wha Says:

All these haters talking with nothing to back their statements. They say she is ugly yet she has been on every single magazine cover including Sports illustrated swimsuit edition.
They say she can’t sing yet the President himself asked her to sing for the inaug’
They say she is not talented yet she has won 10-11 grammy’s, way more than Ritardanna and trailer park Britney

Ah the jealous irreligious Bud-Lite inspired Losers always seeking to take a cheap shot at successful people. Unfortunately MIM you are not the only worthless loser in this nation. Hopefully Obama will have the courage to bring a military draft so that people like you can appreciate that life is precious and those who make life entertaining and beautiful a real joy.

Beyonce is one the Beauties in this World and no, there is not enough of her. We need to see more of her. More of Paris Hilton. More of Kim Kardashian. More of Madonna and less of you.

  22. 47
    susanist Says:

Beyonce is not trying to be Whitney and after the tragedy in her life who would? She is not trying to be Mariah who’s had some mental challenges in her life. Neither can they be Beyonce. Beyonce is more than a singer she’s one of the great beauties of this age. I take my own cues but the VOGUES and ELLE’s back up my opinion on this.
Mariah and Whitney probably wish they could be more like Beyonce in the matter of life decisions they have been failures saved only by their fabulous voices. We seldom see them anymore. Beyonce we want to see more.

    susanist Says:

Stevie Wonder struggled long and hard for this day both as a celebration of Martin Luther King and to clear the way for a black person to be able to realize the Presidency of the USA. Smokey
as well. Robinson was old enough to take part in some of the marches where bricks and waterhoses were sprayed on them for the right to vote. Give them their hard earned victory and shut up. How many white celebs fawned over every single president ever elected?
Shut up and go to Afghanistan. Do something useful in your life.
