One Year Later - Remembering Heath Ledger

One year ago, Hollywood lost one of its brightest stars, Heath Ledger. His untimely death was the result of an accidental drug overdose.

Heath leaves us with a tapestry of cinematic inspiration, best known for his roles in Monster’s Ball, A Knight’s Tale, Brokeback Mountain, and most recently, The Dark Knight.

This year, Heath won a posthumous Golden Globe for his role as the diabolical villain, The Joker, in The Dark Knight.

Additionally, Heath was just Oscar nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his work in The Dark Knight.

Other nominees for best supporting actor include: Josh Brolin, Milk; Robert Downey Jr., Tropic Thunder; Philip Seymour Hoffman, Doubt; and Michael Shannon, Revolutionary Road.

Heath, who would have been 28, is survived by 3-year-old daughter, Matilda Rose.
