PT: Thanks so much for your analysis re Graf-Seles. I am saving it to show to my brother when I see him next. I don’t know why he’s such a Seles fan, has always been ever since she burst onto the tennis scene from Yugoslavia. Do you know he even watched “Dancing With the Stars” (a show he abhorred) just because she was a contestant on Season 6?
    .
    +++++++++++++++
    .
He really watched DWTS to see Seles? Dang…that’s a dedicated fan. I’ve watched DWTS in the past, but that crop of people she was on with was the worst group ever. I couldn’t watch any of those people for more than 1 episode. Luckily for him she didn’t last more than 1 or 2 weeks!
    .
I always preferred Graf. Still do. I just really hate the annoying way the announcers throw the current #1 down a mine shaft when the next big thing comes along. They did it with Graf when Seles came along…the did it with the Williams sisters and Sharapova…now they’re doing it with Federer/Nadal. Eventually Nadal will lose on clay and they’ll be hailing that guy as the new “King of the Dirt” and acting like Nadal wasn’t as great as they’d claimed. It’s tiresome.

****Apart from providing Pitt’s wardrobe, Belstaff is also working with the actor on his ‘Make It Right’ project, by designing a special ‘Timeless’ collection inspired by the movie. A proportion of sales of the jackets will go towards the project’s work in rebuilding New Orleans (since Hurricane Katrina) where key scenes in the film are set.******

LOL. You’ve got to hand it to Brad – he’s coming up with all kinds of deals to funnel funds into MIR. First Kiehl’s, now Belstaff. Wonder who else he’s struck a new deal with…might have to make a little visit over to the MIR website…

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Take Over Tokyo

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie stepped out Wednesday night in Tokyo, and the famous pair brought their Hollywood star power overseas!

The gorgeous couple was at the premiere of ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,’ in Tokyo, Japan and were snapped while making their way through the crowd surrounding the red-carpet.

Brad looked chic in a pin-striped black suit and Angelina wore a classy long black dress as they greeted the excited fans outside the Roppongi Hill theater in Japan.

I’m not a Harry Potter fan, but did you guys see the story about the stunt double for Daniel Radcliffe who was seriously injured on the set today? It was in pre-prod, so Radcliffe, et al, weren’t on set. The stunt man fell when an explosion happened out of sequence. He crashed to the ground and has “a serious back injury”. The London tabs are saying he couldn’t feel his legs. WB’s statement said they’re not releasing his name out of respect for his family, but I’m sure some Potter zealot knows his name and it’s already on on the Potter forums.

Crazy-ass trolls crack me up whining about Brad and Angie dragging their kids to Japan for Oscar publicity. If they left the kids home, the trolls would complain they were neglecting their kids while chasing after Oscar publicity.

Do us all a favor, losers. Go on over to the Aniston thread and give your sad, pathetic idol some support. Mayer the player is about to dump her ass again and she needs all the support she can get.

BOM has the theater counts for all the movies. Guess what movie is 3rd on the number of screens dropped list? If you think it’s a movie about a pooch…you’re right…
    .
Marley and Me – now playing on 1,021 screens. BBBWWWHAHAHAHA!!
    .
Dropped from 2036 screens (-1,015 screens) last weekend
    .
Just 2 short weekends ago it was playing on 2,952 screens. Three weekends ago it was on 3,478 screens.
    .
Meanwhile, CCOBB is still in 2,126 theaters, down from it’s high of 2,988 screens (which is what it opened with on Dec 25th). The dog flick opened on 3,480 screens and topped out at 3,505…and then dropped like lead weight. (CCOBB will probably be dropped by a few hundred theaters next weekend, so I’m getting my chuckles in while I can…)
    .
BTW – next week Friends + 2 opens on 3,000 screens. It will be interesting to see what the box office predictions are going to be for that. For some reason Pink Panter 2 is also opening on 3,000 screens. Have you see the trailers? Talk about embarrassingly bad…
    .
The reviews for Firends + 2 ought to start coming in soon…provided WB let’s critics see it before it comes out. If they don’t let critics see it first…then you know it’s a dud.

That’s what p*ssed me off about them. Last yr the way they went on about Federer u would think he was just some little player who hadn’t accomplished all that he had. And as good as Nadal is, IF Roger hadn’t been sick and was off more than likely he would have still been #1.

FYI-there is no correlation between cunning and IQ. Your statements are mutually exclusive…“I bet she has low IQ. She is a cunning woman well now that can’t be SMART!” is not logical and in fact incorrect.
One can be cunning and smart and/or with a high IQ but one is not necessarily smart with a high IQ. Consequently cunning is not mutally exclusive of having a high IQ or being smart and vice versa. However smart is inclusive to high IQ but high IQ is not inclusive to being smart.
E.g. Ceci and being smart or having a high IQ are mutually exclusive but Ceci and cunning may be inclusive.

Posting nasty criticisms whether it be Angie or Brad makes them feel good, but in reality they love and admire them just like everybody else. They just can’t contain their happiness when they come to a new thread of B&A. They are drooling with admiration, isn’t that right guys! Accept it,you love them. Peace to all of you!

Just saw it yesterday… and it was painful
by fabibi 6 days ago (Fri Jan 23 2009 03:13:02)
    .
I saw this movie yesterday and it was just awful. Don’t get me wrong : I love romantic comedies and I love all the cast. Now I know why the release was delayed several times : there’s nothing good about this movie. Every single joke falls flat – the only really good one is actually in the trailer -, the acting is terrible (especially the lovely Ginnifer Goodwin, poor her !), the characters are mere clichés with no substance and, overall, the message of the movie is simple : women are desperate, pathetic $l*ts/losers and men are desperate/pathetic idiots who just think about two things : s*x and s*x. The movie also portrays gays in a terrifying, reactionary way (like, all gays are sissies). Jennifer Aniston’s character lives a happy, lovely life with a lovely, sweet guy (Ben Affleck) but leaves him because HE DOES NOT WANT TO MARRY HER. Yes, this is that kind of movie. Oh, and one of the female character forgives her husband for cheating on her but decides to divorce when she realizes he lied to her about his smoking habit. If you want to go see this movie, at least you’ve been warned.

But, Higueras is working full-time with the USTA youth program now and is unavailable to travel with Roger so I don’t know if he’s still working with him. Angelina Jolie: “Brad Pitt made my dreams come true”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie show up gorgeous as ever to the Tokyo premiere of his now Oscar-nominated film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and when asked by a reporter to describe Brad Pitt in a few words, Jolie replied with an endearing answer: “Brad can’t be described using words but to wake up and see him with our kids, taking care of us or to wake up in his arms and look in his eyes makes me the proudest woman in the world. He is the man that made all my dreams come true, and making him and my little kids happy everyday is my number one priority.” Jolie then added that the way Pitt portrayed Benjamin Button’s character “melted my heart”. The nomadic duo are reportedly settling in New Jersey for the next few months where Angelina will be filming Edwin A. Salt.

scarlett Johansson…this quote kills me…hope X was sitting next to her at the press con when she said it and flinched. Brad could have saved himself 6 1/2 years of misery if Scarlett had told X this in 1998! “Sure, Brad, I just loooooooooooove modernist architecture and furniture! OMG, like, that Laura Ashley shite sucks monkey balls!”
    .
Although her costar Scarlett Johansson couldn’t recall a bad date, the actress — who dated Josh Hartnett and Jared Leto before wedding Ryan Reynolds last year — has learned a thing or two.

“I think I’ve found that relationships are only going to work out when you’re really yourself and you’re not posturing in any way,” she says. “You’re just honest with who you are. … There’s a difference between compromising something and compromising yourself.”
    ========
    LOL. so true.
    A 23 y.o. Scarlet is much maturer than the 40 y.o.hag.

I saw E or ET ? show interviewing the 4 them, Drew, Gennie, Scarlet and X, and they were talking about dating, I think it’s quite embarassing for x, at her ripe age just like other middle age women , she should be talking about kids and family and not sharing tips with the twenty somethings and early thirties on dating and how to hook up wih guys .

And I found it funny when Billy Bush ask her how will she celebrate her big 40. She became so awkward, uneasy, although, she said she’s not afraid of approaching middle age, .but don’t think so. the repated plastic srgeries, botox, restylane and dating younger guys just proven her anxiety toward 40 y.o.

Angelina is every man’s dream……not because of her countless attributes, but because she knows how to love a man. She makes him feel so good about himself it allows him to be the best he can be. No damn wonder his eyes are it up like firecrackers around her. I really understand his ‘she’s my other half’ statement. She completes him in every way. He is one lucky man and she is one lucky gal………but I don’t really believe luck had anything to do with it. They are both really ‘nice’ people who had the fortune to meet and realize what they could be together. Rare, but so lovely.
