OlderGisele Bundchen Covers 'Harper's Bazaar' April 2009
Following her ultra-secret wedding to pro-footballer Tom Brady, Brazilian beauty Gisele Bundchen (in Louis Vuitton) graces the April 2009 cover of Harper’s Bazaar. Check out what she had to say:
On how she’s ready to start a family: “I want to have a big family. My parents have been together for 36 years, and that is what I want.” She goes on to say: “I love kids. It’s amazing that I have the opportunity to hang out with my stepson all the time.”
On what she loves most about her new husband: “Tom is a good guy. He has a very pure heart. He’s very naive, almost like a child. That is my favorite quality about him. One thing that I thought was so amazing when I first met him is that he is innocent. He sees the world with colored glasses.”
On life five to six years ago: “I was drinking a lot of red wine, smoking a pack and a half of cigarettes a day, and eating cheeseburgers all day. I was treating my body, which is my temple and my best friend, as my worst enemy. I was almost punishing myself. I was so tired. I was working so much, and I was numb.”

Beautiful German woman! Brazil is a multi-cultural, multi-racial, multi-ethnic country with the common language of Portuguese. In many ways exactly like the United States. If Gisele were born in America she would be a German-American. Brazil has much more in common with American and is nothing like the poverty-stricken , uneducated countries surrounding it. Except for Argentina whose inhabitants are mostly European anyways. Americans should come to Brazil to see how marvelous and unique it is.

great cover and I agree with you Anthony. she makes Tom sound like a child rather than a man, that explains a lot to be honest, why she’s in control and his just there.

Oh poor BoPo. I dont hate Gisele. In fact, i quite like her – given that i know nothing about her or any other celeb (rolling eyes).

But you must admit, what she said about her husband is very unfortunate. I would hazard a guess that when Tom saw that, he was not amused.

Put yourself in his shoes. And if your spouse told the world that you were naive and just like a child, would you be happy about that? I know she meant no harm and was in fact, trying to show how much she loves and adores her husband. But with that revelation about how she perceives him, it just doesnt augur well for their future together.

I love Gisele but why oh why would she comment about Tom being like a child. He’s an NFL quarterback. I can only imagine the ribbing he’ll have to take after other players get wind of this.
Duh… Gisele always talks like that. I think what shes trying to say is that he always sees the good in people,hes really a tender guy under the whole football guy exterior… If you’ve ever read other interviews with Gisele, she tends to describe things in very broad terms.
Being that Tom is married to her, and has been with her for over 2 years, he’ll prolly laugh if he reads the interview, its simply very Gisele.
Gisele called her husband Naive not STUPID! Anyone want to bet how long it will take before we find out that the comment was made out of context? In some respects Tom was naive to think Bridget was innocent in setting up getting pregnant. And for all those peple who are going to defend this (1) She went with the guy for 3 years and nothing happened – WHY because she was on birth control and into her career (small as it is). (2) She gave an interview in a magazine and TOLD the interviewer that she planned getting pregnant! OMG what a surprise! I think Gisele AND Tom knew exactly what or rather WHO she was referring to when she said he was Naive. Gisele has said in other interviews that he is a geniunely kind and good person. That interview came right after the one Bridget did with all her “Oh I never expected to pregnant and alone”. I bet you didn’t missy. So here is the bottom line- no matter what any of us think – Tom loves Gisele and Gisele loves Tom. Except for Tom’s son, Bridget is so out of the equation and I bet she likes it that way.End of story!
