OlderRihanna To Remake 'The Bodyguard'
Rihanna was in NYC over the weekend to discuss various film projects, according to the NYDN‘s Gatecrasher.
The first is the remake of 1992’s The Bodyguard. The 21-year-old is rumored to take Whitney Houston‘s role while GI Joe hunk Channing Tatum would replace Kevin Costner.
“Before the situation with Chris [Brown], Ri was getting a lot of scripts. She’s been wanting to do movies for a while now,” our insider reveals.
Rihanna is also said to be considering the Charlie’s Angels sequel, as well as possibly starring alongside Justin Timberlake, with whom she released her hit single “Rehab.”
Both projects don’t sound very plausible. Do you think Rihanna should star in either movie?

Um Why??? Not every singer is meant to be an actor and not every actor is meant to be a singer.
Besides what is the point of remaking “The Bodyguard” which was a bad movie. I tell you lazy HW folks can’t come up with new ideas, just keep on rehasing bad movies that should have never been made and great classics that should be left alone.

She may be offered and accept these film roles but her future is literally doomed until she removes the vicious woman beater from her personal life as the public is not going to forget what happened to her at the hands of an animal that she may have chosen to sleep with, yet, again?
I guess she can make movies if she wants to. Sheesh. What is “not very plausible” about it? The only thing good about The Bodyguard with Whitney Houston, was that Whitney cannot act and the music was awesome. That movie had great music. but that’s all it had. As for working with JT, or doing other stuff, I think it would be a fine idea. I hope she does all kinds of wonderful stuff including dumping that rotten SOB Chris Brown who is merde! BTW. Chris Brown is doing movies and no one is saying it’s “not very plausible.” Even 50 Cents made a rotten movie with Robert De Niro, so why shouldn’t she try it.
She should do whatever she wants to do. I won’t see a movie just because she’s in it.

i can’t stand the idea of her being an actress. i mean isnt it bad enough that she sings although she aint got no talent at all. i mean she is a good performer but such a bad singer. why does she have to take the roles from other actresses who are much more talented? i hate it.

The irony on this one is rich. Forgot remaking The Bodyguard. Rihanna needs to get herself a better bodyguard that doesn’t allow her to end up beaten and left on the side of the road!
