OlderRachel McAdams: Female Star of the Year
Rachel McAdams (in Emanuel Ungaro) receives the Female Star of the Year Award at the Paris Las Vegas during ShoWest, the official convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners on Thursday (April 2, 2009) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“They’re really good at coming up with these big sweeping award titles, aren’t they?” the 30-year-old actress said. “Don’t get me wrong. I love the event and my sister loves Vegas, so it makes for a nice couple of days.”
“The part in Sherlock Holmes is great because it’s a character that leaps into everything with both feet,” McAdams told Variety. “She’s got a sordid past with Holmes, and you’re not sure where she’s coming from. Robert Downey is just amazing in the part, and I think Guy Ritchie‘s style will work for a modern Holmes.”

I think the ShoWest award is for the upcoming movies the person is going to be doing, not past work, since she had only The Lucky Ones out last year. With three movies out this year I guess they thinking more hits.
She’s looking way to skinny for my tastes, and that dress just washes out her face. She needs to get into the sun and eat a little more. Still lovely and unpretentious and grateful.
