Amy Poehler is Squirrel Sweet
Amy Poehler caught up with TV Guide to talk about her move to primetime with the buzz-worthy new sitcom Parks and Recreation, the secret to her success (magic beans!) and how she feels about starring opposite a giant hole.
On her character, Leslie Knope:“Leslie sees herself as a big shot, even though she has what’s really a very very very small amount of power. Leslie is definitely in over her head. She’s like one of those school monitors who takes the job a little too seriously.”
On starring opposite a giant hole: ’You have to admit, it’s a lovely looking hole, as holes go.”
On the secret of her success: “In 1992, I met an old gypsy woman on the side of the road and she gave me a magic bean. I ate it and that was it. The hard part was I had to chop off her head after she gave it to me. But now look at me. I’m famous.”
