Kate Bosworth (in Stella McCartney) hits the red carpet at the “Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4).
Joining the 26-year-old actress on the red carpet was designer Stella McCartney, Kate Hudson and Liv Tyler. Kate‘s boyfriend, model/musician James Rousseau (not pictured), wore Christopher Bailey’s designs in Burberry.
Justin Timberlake, Kate Moss, Marc Jacobs and Anna Wintour will host the annual gala to raise money for the organization.

Finally, I think we have a winner! I love the dress. However, I don’t understand why she wore her hair down, it should have been worn up in a chignon. Her hair is obstructing the main detail of the garment which is the delicate stain trimmed collar.

Very nice, Kate! Black is definitely one of your best colors! I love your hair worn down like this in soft waves, slightly parted on the side. Very elegant. It reminds me just a bit of Lauren Bacall. The dress looks beautiful on you. I like the combination of sheer floral mesh lace and solid fabric panels. The scalloped lace collar is a nice touch on the neckline. Your jewelry is kept simple but still has impact. Your make up is lovely – especially that perfect shade of red lipstick. It’s not too strong and not washed out.
