OlderSarah Michelle Gellar Kicks Off The Wonderful Maladys
Pregnant actress Sarah Michelle Gellar covers up her baby bump with a script as she shoots the pilot for her new show, The Wonderful Maladys, on the Upper West Side of New York City on Tuesday (May 12).
The show is a Gotham-set ensemble series that revolves around the dysfunctional lives of three adult siblings who lost their parents at a young age. If the show is picked up, it will air on HBO with SMG also serving as an executive producer.

Sarah should stick to killing vampires. Though she is a phenomenal actress, is there any role anybody would like to see her play other than Buffy?
It’s great to see her working on a project again. She is a versatile actress and can pull it off. I read the script and this would be a new big hit!

Why is she trying to cover her baby bump? Everyone knows she is pregnant. Is she ashamed of it already or she another one of those actresses who like the idea of having a baby but do not want to put on any weight? Geeez……………
@ Soprano Sarah is a very private person. She’s probably trying to prevent the papparazi from profiting off of pictures of her baby as long as she can.

She didn’t announce it. According to People magazine, they found out about the pregnancy from a friend of the couple. So seeing as how they themselves didn’t make it public knowledge, they are entitled to as much privacy as they please.

she still looks great, but i think she will always be remembered as buffy-i guess that’s not to bad though
But it is private, how is it priavte when everyone knows about it?! there is no point of hiding it wen everyone knows! and “close sorce” to the fmaily is usualy the agent whos been given the go ahead to announce.

I wouldn’t mind seeing her as Buffy again too. They should make Byffy The Movie with all the characters from the show. That’d be fun to watch :)

Sazzy – agents don’t usually announce news like this, so no, it wasn’t her agent. Close to the source means literally anyone close to the source. Their publicists have yet to comment or confirm anything and if they did, People would have printed that.
So what if we know she’s pregnant? Does that entitle the public to pictures of her? It’s not as though it could have remained absolutely private much longer considering you can very much tell that she is pregnant. If she doesn’t want anyone to take pictures of “the bump” (which btw the whole “bump watch” thing is NUTS) then that’s her prerogative. It’s her baby and her body.
Do you know where exactly in the Upper East side she was filming because i ‘M going to new york this weekend and i want to see her !!!!!

She’s the best actress in the world and she looks AMAZING. Buffy is my favorite tv show and always will be, but I can’t WAIT for “The Wonderful Maladys.” I’ve read the scrip and it’s got so much potential. And Sarah is a VERY private person (that’s actually one of the things I admire about her) and hasn’t annoucend she’s pregnant, that’s why she’s covering her bump. This baby is gonna be the cutest thing ever *.*
