Pregnant actress Ellen Pompeo picks up an ice-blended coffee from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and goes shopping at the Calypso boutique on Monday (May 18) in Los Angeles.
The day before, the 39-year-old actress was seen taking a hike at Griffith Park with her assistant and her dogs.
Ellen‘s Grey’s Anatomy costar Katherine Heigl recently re-entered the race to contend for an Emmy Award.
Last year, Heigl had her name withdrawn from the ballot. “I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention,” she had said. “In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.”

Ellen and Nicole Richie are unfit moms for drinking so much caffeine! It causes birth defects and smaller weight babies. Ellen & Nicole are selfish, selfish, selfish! The only reason they drink so much coffee is to keep themselves from eating as to not gain weight during pregnancy. I have two children and I never ever drank coffee, tea or cola.
I don’t know why in the US people always say “don’t drink coffee while pregnant”. I never heard that before. I know tons of woman who were pregnant and the doctor never said anything about coffee. All of them had pretty big and health babies.
She looks great. Coffee…Tea…soda…hot dogs… all ok during pregnancy in moderation. Anyone who thinks they are harmful is an alarmist. It is not being selfish at all. What is selfish and egocentric is thinking that you are a good mom and announcing it on a website and condemning others who do not share your over the top views on prenatal nutrition.
