Anton Yelchin is Dazed and Confused

Termination Salvation (and Star Trek) star Anton Yelchin is a 20-year-old actor with “probing intellect of a man four times his age,” according to UK’s Dazed & Confused magazine.

“I was totally, immediately in love with acting,” he says. “There’s such potential for catharsis, for analyzing the human condition; for exploring yourself. I mean, I can’t work on myself for s—, but sometimes through the characters I find something deep inside myself that ends up really affecting me. It’s hard to be self-analytical, but with acting, you do find that you’re suddenly learning something about yourself.”

Anton philosophies, “There’s no emotional rest with acting. You’re always kind of in it. Which is how it should be, actually. I wouldn’t want it any other way.”

yeah yeah this kid is going to blow up. i was reading a review (i think it was on the Time site Ent section) and they kept calling him chekov and poo poo’d the entire movie except for the graphics, sound effects, and the australian guy. lol.

Love him!!

Hottie! Also a talent. I’ve loved his acting ever since Hearts in Atlantis.

# 6

How much catharsis, and analyzing of the human condition, went on in his portrayal of Chekov? lol. The entire role consisted of the computer not understanding his accent.

Reminds me of Orlando Bloom.

I just watched TS4 yesterday, it was good & I found him really adorable~ :)

It’s always nice to see a kid actor grow up well. I first noticed him in the “Taken” miniseries on the SciFi Channel.

No offense but his acting wasn’t that great in Star Trek…

omg he SUCKED in ST of course the whole movie sucked….

yeah i have to say i’ve seen the kid act, and i’m kinda in the middle with him. i think he has potential, but definately needs the right roles…even he knows this and has said that many times. he’s just taking roles now to get in the game (make money) and raise his profile…but really anton, don’t sell your soul. stay away from the big budget stuff, and the action movies.

he must have gotten along really well with christian bale then. i can’t wait to see what this kid does next.

So much talent and so young.

I THINK HE LOOK’S LIKE A JONAS BROTHER

@Steph: lol i did too. he’s a cutie and i’m looking forward to seeing his star rise =)

@naomi:

He does NOT look like a Jonas Brother…Please don’t ever make that comparison again! He is a handsome, talented young actor. <345

hes so cuteeee :-)

@mertz: there’s nothing wrong with action movies.

@Bella: I can say whatever i want, and i will say it again little lady, HE DOES LOOK LIKE A JONAS, that’s my opinion ok?

He’s so cute, and only 20! ;-)

@Bella: he looks like a jonas brother if you squint a little, do a handstand and then put a picture of a jonas brother in front of the screen

He was amazing in T4. He really brought Kyle to life — which was no easy task because the script was CRAP. Too much CGI, too little plot. Anton and Sam Worthington gave excellent performances and made the movie worth watching.

I wasn’t really a fan on Chekov in Star Trek. I think Anton shined more in T4.

He’s my age! :) I remember watching him in movies like “Delivering Milo” and “Hearts in Atlantis.” It’s great to see him transitioning to adult roles without doing teen movies.

He is so adorable! He reminds me of like a mini Adam Brody.

Anton Yelchin……………….THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
