Reese Witherspoon gets back to hardcore training, practicing softball and running drills through cones at UCLA on Wednesday (May 27) in Westwood, Calif.
The 33-year-old actress, who wore kneepads and wristguards for protection, has been vigorously preparing for an upcoming still-untitled movie, which is being directed by James L. Brooks (1997’s As Good as It Gets). Owen Wilson costars.

God, she is a bigger publicity ho than Heidi & Spencer. She can’t go a few days without making sure that pointy chin of hers is papped. This movie must suck big time if Reese has to have her PR arrange for the paps to come and take her pics while she pretends to learn how to play softball. Promoting a movie before you even start to film it tells me you don’t think the movie can stand on it’s own.

You’re right, Sofia but if she’s starring with Owen Wilson, she’s GOT to take the lion’s share of the publicity for the film (like Jennifer Aniston did with “Marley & Me”).
Owen’s a drug-addled loser who should STOP getting any movie roles until he cleans himself up and gets some real therapy.
If Reese thought working with Vince was bad, wait until she has to work with the borderline schizo, druggie Owen!
She’ll REALLY appreciate what she’s got in Jake.
Here is a question for the “Jake is gay” people: if Reese is Jake’s beard, then what was Dunst when she was living with him? Dunst hardly seems the type who would be willing to beard anyone, so how explain her relationship with him if he is gay?

Reese is lookin pretty good. Exercise does her good. She’s particularly starting to look toned. I just wonder. There are so many films made where you see absolutely nothing of the prep work or inner workings. Just once in a while there might be a still released of the actors on set. But Reese’s prep for this film has been photographed several times each week. What’s with that? I guess her fan boys and girls love it. But it is very strange and makes her appear to be very insecure. Angelina is the same way with that Salt film she’s been making. Weird.
This movie will suck. The softball scenes will suck.
Me personally. I’d like to watch a movie with real softball players. Not an actor playing a softball player. I love Reese but I can’t believe her as an authentic softball player. That’s why I am so excited to watch the movie called STATE! It’s the first movie about girls fast-pitch softball. With real softball players. I’ve also found out that they will also have players from the US Olympic team in the movie!!!! Check out the link http://www.statethemovie.net. ;o)
