Jude Law Hones His Hamlet
Jude Law signs some autographs as he leaves Wyndham’s Theatre, after performing in a new production of “Hamlet” on Thursday (May 28).
The 36-year-old actor will perform in the sold-out production, which will officially open June 3 and play through Aug. 22. “A couple of thoughts spring to mind about the meaning of the play. One is that one must suffer in order to gain wisdom, the second that life is a journey, and it is the journey itself that matters, not arriving at your destination,” Jude said in an interview with the Telegraph.
“Hamlet is a bit like a great song that’s been covered by a load of different singers. It’s like Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and Joni Mitchell all covering the same song. But they would each bring a different sound and color to it,” he said.

I love his quote on Hamlet.
He’s really clinging on to that clump of hair! Shave it all off and stop living in denial! Bald men are sexy. Give me some Bruce Willis any day.
You will not them all out on that stage honey!
Can`t wait for the 31th July!
So articulate! He can cover me anyday….

If he needs me to, I’d be more than happy to help hone his Hamlet! Sorry, couldn’t help that.
Break a leg, Jude!
*blows kisses at Jude*
Thank you so much for all the updates Jared!
Thanks Jared.
Hals und beinbruch Jude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck :)
He looks tired; he’s a good man to sign autographs and brave photogs in the face just to wander off into the west end after a performance. It’ll be interesting to see how often he can and will be prepared to do that over the next few months. I hope this is a big success for him. He deserves it.
I was set to travel to London with a group of friends this summer to see Jude’s Hamlet, having purchased our tickets the moment they went on sale, but unforeseen circumstances are causing me to have to give up my seat on the trip to another friend. I think it would be really cool if, after they finish their week in Denmark, Jude and company would just slide it on over to NYC for a few weeks…or heck, even a week! :) I say nothing but good can come of that. Just a suggestion.
I feel so sorry for anyone who planned and waited and expected to go and then circumstances changed the picture and must add my voice
to those saying ‘thank you’ Jared – this is a bonus and very welcome.
He has worked very hard to get to this point ad his Hamlet is going to
be exciting, probably different, and assuredly unforgettable.. Nothing
but the best of luck is wished for Jude for the whole run. I’ll be going to
London (with a lot of friends) the last week of July. it will be a long wait
but I’m convinced a vry, very worthwhile one.best of luck,break a leg!
Yo, Purpleworm. He does look tired. I hope he sleeps most of the day today. He does deserve good things from this. This will be rigorous.
I can only wish Mr. Law the very deserved best.
I too purchased my tickets the day that they went on sale and look eagerly toward the July date; when I travel from overseas for the performance.
Good luck sir!
Hamlet never look more sexy !
You go Jude. Your quote about Hamlet rocks.
Thanks Jared.
To think, I thought this man truly handsome once.
So handsome and dashing! I watched him in The Holiday last night, and he was wonderful. To see him on stage would be so amazing!
Great actor and beautiful man *___* go Jude!
I wish I was there to see Jude’s Hamlet
much success to you Jude.
you are my fix.
Thanks Jared.
Hot Hamlet!
Thanks for the pictures Jared.
I am so excited abotu Hamlet and I wish Jude lots of luck with the play.
xoxoxoxo @Jude :-D
jared…you are a wonder….,….these photos of the ever lovely and beautiful mr. law are so appreciated……he will make a fabulous hamlet because aside from his physical beauty he is a tremendous actor. two academy award nominations…the british academy award the french academy award……a tony nomination and a golden globe award….for the gentleman who is so concerned about jude’s hairline….don’t fret …..jude’s talent doesn’t depend on that…..he’s had that hairline forever. it just depends how he combs his hair and how long he lets it grow. i don’t think playing hamlet depends on his tresses. he’s not playing samson……besides the man is a walking work of art. beautiful and talented….a rarity of one.
Wish I could be there for Jude’s Hamlet. He is always sexy and handsome no matter about his hair.
Good Luck to Jude during this Hamlet production. I’m sure he will knock their knickers off, and WOW the audience with pleasure and entertainment.
Continue with the fight for PEACE around the globe Jude and helping others. Thank You!!!
ciao~
It’s a shame that he’s losing his hair. Everything else about the man is perfect – and he’s such a good actor!
Awesome! Love Jude as Hamlet…can’t wait to hear all about it- You go Jude! best of luck :D
yea Jude, bring it to NYC next! love ya!
