OlderJohnny Depp Covers Vanity Fair July 2009
Johnny Depp flashes a smile for the cover of the July 2009 issue of Vanity Fair.
The 45-year-old actor’s interview covers a wide range of topics from Elizabeth Taylor (“She’s an astonishingly great broad,” he says) to the price of happiness, “Money doesn’t buy you happiness, but it buys you a big enough yacht to sail right up to it.”
Depp’s hobbies include reading, playing guitar, and painting. “What I love to do is paint people’s faces, y’know, their eyes,” he says. “Because you want to find that emotion, see what’s going on behind their eyes.”
The VF photo spread shows off Depp‘s 45-acre private Bahamian island, Little Hall’s Pond Cay, which includes six different beaches.

Love Johnny! Simply can’t wait to see Public Enemies which was filmed in my neck of the woods. He was such a nice guy to the public here. . Wish him every happiness @ home and every success @ work.

Johnny looks awful! For one thing, he’s altered his face. Where did those cheekbones come from? The doctor’s office, I’d say. When you know how much these pictures are touched up, you gotta wonder where the beautiful boy has gone. But that’s alright. I’d like to see more people being their natural age in Hollywood. Those cheekbones bother me though.

The Cheekbones come from his native American side. johnny depp is naturally cool and would never resort to plastic Surgery like Brad Pitt.
