OlderNicole Kidman To Adopt Vietnamese Baby?
Nicole Kidman looks all business in an all-black ensemble as she leaves the Sotheby’s Auction House on the New York City set of her new movie Rabbit Hole on Monday morning (June 1).
Baby rumors are swirling about the 41-year-old Aussie actress. Hollywood is buzzing that she is pregnant. Meanwhile, Dang Minh Dao, deputy of the Department of International Adoption at the Ministry of Justice in Hanoi told Australia’s New Idea magazine: “Yes, Nicole Kidman wants a baby from Vietnam. We’ve been approached by the American Embassy. This is very sensitive information. We are keeping it closed.”
Nicole and husband Keith Urban already have a daughter Sunday Rose, who turns one next month.
UPDATE: Nicole’s rep has denied this rumor, saying, “I am aware of this rumor out of Australia’s New Idea tabloid. It is a complete fabrication, there is no truth to it whatsoever.”

Why does adoption have to be private you idiot?
When they do adopt…people are going to know that anyway. Nothing wrong with adoption. I was adopted as a baby. And if I were to adopt…I would want my family, friends….to know that. It’s a wonderful thing.

I wonder if the baby story is true. Aren’t Kidman and Urban Aussie citizens? Or dual citizens? Why would the American Embassy approach Vietnam? She’d have to go through the same adoption procedures that everyone does. She already has two adopted children, so the psychological studies etc have been done and she does meet the income, age, etc. requirements.
And finally why would someone disclose this information–someone who knows what the word confidentiality means?

She didnt reveal any information, somebody else did. And as we know, she tries to keep herself as private as possible. That is what she did, as still does, with Connor and Isabella too.
Good thing they are “keeping it closed” otherwise there is no telling how much information that Minister of Adoption would have given out to that rag mag!!! What a jerk!!
One question though . . . why on earth would the American Embassy get involved in this particular adoption? First, because the Embassy does not usually get involved in any foreign adoptions until the adopted child needs a passport and second because Nicole and Keith are both Australian citizens. Why on earth would the American Embassy care?? I’m calling crapola on this particular rumor.
And, Nicole does look good with red hair but girl needs to slack off on the botox!!

i think they are going thru American Embassy cos they live in America plus NIC has both American and Australian citizenship, but according to sources they are applying as AUSTRALIANS.

Doesn’t Kidman’s sister have affiliation with “New Idea”? I know she had/has a connection with one of the magazines over there.
Another question. Can you adopt a baby from Vietnam and make it a US citizen when you are Australian citizens – although Kidman does have dual citizenship?
I am sorry but the vietnam story makes no sense. No way would an official minster talk about it to a gossiprag. And if he did, he should be out of office asap. Besides, as others mentioned: she and urban are both australians so why would the us embassy be involved.

I’m glad to see that the celebrities of this amazing country are adopting children but let me ask you…is there something wrong with our own children??? I’m all for saving world but can we start here first?
