OlderGwen Stefani: Kingston Is Insane Now
Gwen Stefani props up adorable son Zuma, then 7 months, for the July 2009 issue of Elle. Here are a few more interview highlights:
On being a mother: “It’s one thing when you have an infant, but when you have this two-or three-year-old going, ‘Mommy, what’s the deal?’ it’s harder. Kingston’s whole thing is, ‘I need, I need.’ He is insane right now. We’re just hoping for the best and that he’s not going to turn out to be a freak, but we’ll see.”
On how her priorities changed from band to family: “I wasn’t even married. Now I’m a wife and a mother of two. It’s a really different role. I always referred to No Doubt as a marriage, because that’s what it’s like to be together for so long and go through what we’ve been through. I can’t really have that relationship with them anymore. My priorities are always going to be my husband and my family now. That’s a huge, huge thing.”

so she said that, besides showing of her baby in a fashion- magazine? What is wrong with her? But hey, we talk about a woman who uses Japanese dancers as an accessory.

Even if she is just joking, I think it is terrible to refer to your child as “insane.” She is definitely NOT one of my favorite celebrity moms.

So, is she saying that the reuinion with NO DOUBT, is a joke? She still can consider them family! She can have teh same relationship with them, they ARE a band. If she holds on to that mentality, this band thing is not going to work out well.

I thought it was a real and funny comment. Kids are nut jobs at that age and you all you can do is pray they don’t grow up to be insane.
