OlderLauren Conrad: Book Launch Party!
Former Hills star Lauren Conrad (in 3.1 Phillip Lim) hosts the launch of her book “L.A. Candy” at Thompson Hotel on Wednesday (June 10) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The 23-year-old reality TV star hopes to have her book adapted for the small screen.
“It’s one of my hopes,” Lauren told E!. “We’re going to start working on that when I get back from my book tour.”

to think that there are so many great writers in the world that don’t get the chance to publish their books, but here’s whatsherfaceLC coming out with one. just….great.
i am reading LC’s “book” right now. i am about 75 pages in and it’s a trainwreck, therefore, i cannot put it down. it’s about this girl, janie, and her beautiful friend, scarlett, and i guess they get tapped to be on a reality show, similar to the hills. i haven’t quite gotten there yet… they’ve been approached by the producer but kind of laughed it off. i am sure that’s where this is heading.
now, i know she had a ghost writer for this, but the ghost writer definitely tried to write it as lauren conrad. this is the opening pargraph, “jane roberts leaned against her dresser, studying the way her white silk nightie looked against her sun-kissed skin. her loose blonde curls cascaded softly over her shoulders as she pretended not to be interested in the guy in her bed.” gotta love her usage of “cascaded” and “sun-kissed.”
the highlight thus far? she referenced “big wangs” in it, which is a bar i’m always tempted to visit whenever i pass it because the name is so silly.

why is this girl famous? oh for being on reality tv and getting lunches and going to clubs in Hollywood? wowwwwwwwwwwwww what a star!
what could she possibly contribute to a book that would be remotely interesting in her short, shallow life?
I love her hair and makeup.. she’s definitely trying new things when it comes to her style. I’m not excited for the book, because I don’t like the hills. This book is basically her life story.
She looks like Kate Middleton to me.

That’s why there are ghostwriters… They do all the work, but the ghostwriters get no credit.
And I think it’s crap that people try so hard to get published and they gave her a book deal…
