Check out this cute new portrait of the Obama family dog, a Portuguese water dog name Bo Obama.
President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and daughters Malia and Sasha welcomed him into the White House on April 14th. Here’s a few little known facts about the pet pooch:
– Bo‘s name came from two different places: Mrs. Obama‘s father’s nickname was “Diddley” and Malia and Sasha‘s cousins have a cat named Bo — and another cat named Diddley.
– Bo was a gift to the Obama family from Senator Ted Kennedy and his wife, Vicki.
– Even though Bo is a Portuguese water dog, he doesn’t know how to swim!

lol. #6 i feel you. i’ve been wanting a dog for more than 10 years, and i can’t get one. ugh. i love this breed though, and i was soooo close to getting one, and my dad kiboshed that dream. ugh parents. dogs are awesome and better than cats. yea i said that. all you cat lovers come get me.
