OlderOprah Winfrey to Staff: Free Cruises All Around!
In an economy where just having a job is treasured, Oprah Winfrey has gone above and beyond being a “nice boss”. She’s taking her entire staff and their families on an all-expense-paid cruise through the Mediterranean!
At approximately $5,000 per person, the cruise will hit ports in Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Malta.
This is actually the second time in four years that Oprah has gone cruising with her staff. The last cruise was to Hawaii! Not too shabby at all.
Check out the pictures of Oprah below touring Barcelona, Spain and enjoying the Sagrada Familia. The church is considered the masterpiece of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudà even though it is unfinished (expected to be done in 2026).

Well, the big O has never been tight with money and this is just another example of her thoughtfulness.
i should send this to our boss. he “doesn’t believe you should thank people for doing their jobs”. he cashes his bonus cheks fast enough though. hahahahaha

What a YUMMY trip and an amazingly generous gesture of love and appreciation to Oprah’s hard-working staff. Have a blast! You will love Turkiye – been there 4 times and want to go again. True crossroads between Europe and the mystic East. Amazing history. Try to go inland to see Aphrodisias. Leaves Ephesus in the dust. Though if you go to Ephesus, be sure to go up the pine covered hill to Mary’s last residence, while fleeing those persecuting early Christians. A cistern and small stone ‘house’ still stands and there is *something* there, there. Even my Mom, an atheist felt it. Enjoy!

Well, it will be interesting to see if she actually pays for it. She always tauts her “giving” yet she expects other companies to fork everything over for free and then takes the credit. She thinks just having her name associated with it should be enough for the companies so I am sure she will have a show all about how “generous” she was showing the cruise and throwing in advertising for the cruise company and she won’t be out a dime of real money! That said, if she can do it and she obviously can – who wouldn’t?!? And that’s great that she shares and her employees can benefit from it!

When you have as many secrets as Oprah, your very, very nice to family, friends and employees. Do people still watch Oprah?

It’s good to see that despite the poor global economy that their is still some generous people around. I wonder how many companies do things of that nature and give to their employees and still stay in business because a cruise of that extent does not come cheap.
EVERYTHING Oprah does for people is either on television or heavily advertised via other media outlets. I am not a fan of hers, but it is nice that she does these things. She certainly does not have to. Of course, it would be nice if she built a school that was not exclusive to black girls. I think if there was such a school for just white girls, it would be called discrimination, but if it is one for just black girls, it is ok. Hmmmm…wonder why it works that way. There must not be any poor white girls in Africa. Either that, or she does not give a damn about the poor white girls. I would go with the latter.
There are white girls at the school. I saw a few on the tv special about the school. Also there are white students that receive financial help from the UNCF telethon if they attend a HBCU.
