Shia LaBeouf Gets His Own Religion

Shia LaBeouf walks around Soho with an arm full of papers and books on Monday (August 3) in New York City.

The 23-year-old Transformers star is the center of a new religion, ‘Shiantology.’

The fictional religion was created by a group of fans of the Disturbia actor. According to their website, their mission statement is, “Characterized by a belief in the power of Shia‘s spirit to clear itself of past painful experiences (in particular, hand smashing, car crashes, and drunken outbursts in Walgreen’s) through self-knowledge, spiritual fulfillment and copious amounts of Arizona Ice Tea.”
