OlderPaula Abdul Leaves American Idol
Paula Abdul won’t be returning to American Idol, she confirmed on her Twitter account. Here’s what the 47-year-old tweeted:
“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all …being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon … What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me … It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month … I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all.”
A statement was also released from FOX, FremantleMedia North America and 19 Entertainment: “Paula Abdul has been an important part of the American Idol family over the last eight seasons and we are saddened that she has decided not to return to the show. While Paula will not be continuing with us, she’s a tremendous talent and we wish her the best.”

ok, good luck to her anyway. she’s way too soft to the show but i still kinda like her.
American Idol will not be the same. I won’t watch it if Paula isn’t on there. PAULA IS AMERICA’S IDOL! WE LOVE PAULA. Boycott Idol!
and i wonder will Simon leave, too????? i remember heard this rumor before.
actually i think that simon’s biggest exicting thing of the show, of course, apart from singers.
woooow, I thought they had worked something out. Seeing her buzzed up and acting kooky is what I looked forward to on the show..gonna miss her.

Who’s stupid idea was it anyway to have a fourth judge? That only means more money being thrown somewhere else for a show that will continually have to give the judges more money as years pass.
That is a real tragedy. It’s obvious that this is just over money. That is so stupid as this show makes an effing fortune. They could have afforded paying her whatever she wanted. Simon’s getting a fortune and they can afford every penny.
They’ve made a big mistake. This will ruin the chemistry of the show.
However, I wonder if this is all just a publicity stunt.
Ugh. I really would soooo have rathered it Kara left. Kara is the problem. That shows entire format was such a let down last year. I don’t think I will b watching. Boycott I SHALL!
This is not a publicity stunt. Paul and the network have both officially announced that she won’t be returning. Filming for the new season is going to start in a week or so I think.

Now the show is gonna suck. I never did like Kara from the beginning. I think they were planing on booting her off to begin with when they first got Kara on the show.

I will not be watching American Idol…..BOYCOTT!! Paula added so much to the show. Simon and Paula’s bickering will be missed!! I don’t blame Paula, It is not fair to see Simon and Ryan get paid major money, and she not offered similar. Fox you can afford it, and are making a horrible decision

about time. but she is one of the reasons people actually tune in to see the show…even as sad as that seems. we need some crazy to lift us up every now and then and randy is basically simon without the bite. they’re too similar. they shouldn’t bring that other chick, kara, back though if they’re ******** over paula. she made that show along with the others. way to go ai and fox. ugh. good riddance though. about freaking time.
Well I guess they’re gonna replace Paula with Sharon Osbourne or someone better. I bet they WANTED to replace Paula. I’m sure they’re willing to either pay more money for someone better or luck out and pay less money for someone else. Paula’s given bad publicity and she can be a troublemaker and a diva. I use to like her back in the day cause she was a dancer and very pretty and stood with the likes of Janet Jackson. Bethany Frankel (from Desperate Housewives NYC on Bravo TV), for example, said it right when she said that she knows when she can be replaced by any other woman for her own show and is willing to stand by the salary they offer her and not fight it. Does Paula realize the economy we’re in right now?? People are out of jobs and can’t even find temp jobs. If Paula is leaving because she wants a bigger salary, then she’s loopier than I thought and in her own world. I know women like that and I feel sorry for them. Get over yourselves, ladies….
I will not be watching American Idol this season nor will I watch it ever again unless Paula comes back …..screw FOX

Hey everyone..this is a scam…she’s already taped some auditions in various citys…
She’ll be back..she just want the show to get more attention, and she wants more $$$$$
loss on the both sides…she may have nowhere to get a fat paycheck as that but idol won’t be as funny without her fighting simon all the time.
people will still watch regardless if she’s there or not..

Simon said at one time if she didn’t come back then he wouldn’t come back either. I wish he would stick to that. I wish people would boycott the show unless she is on it. I don’t even like her that much but she should be on the show. It’s such an unfair situation. They raise Simon to $100,000 while she’s getting under $20,000. I imagine she wanted a big raise too. She’s just as important to the show as Simon but he’s a man and men always get paid more.
I really hope they suffer big losses for their decision. It is totally unfair.
