OlderVictor Webster: Melrose Place's Gay Publicist
Executive producer Todd Slavkin tells AfterElton that Melrose Place has cast former Mutant X stud Victor Webster as Caleb Brewer, a non-stereotypical gay character.
The 36-year-old actor, who has make notable appearances on Sex and the City and Lincoln Heights, will appear in episode 2, which will air on Tuesday, September 15 on The CW. Caleb is a “very masculine guy, smokes cigars, likes the Los Angeles Lakers, collects sports memorabilia, drinks Scotch, likes guys and is not afraid to admit it.”

@ Ben, I’m a gay man much like you who has kids, is a sports freak, outdoor extreme sports, etc. and I agree that WE don’t see ourselves as stereotypical but compared to what TV has given us as gay characters, this Melrose Place gay guy is something totally new.
I think this is a good thing plus he’s def a guy I’d like to f**k.
I thought the rule in Hollywood is that if you’re gay in real life, you can’t play gay on TV or films.
Bad actor anyway, who cares? I’m sure him and the show will suck.

i remember him from Mutant X. Loved the show. But I wont watch Melrose Place cuz he’s on it.

Don’t get me wrong he’s obviously good looking, but I seen some of his work and he can’t act at all! I mean, he’s very bad.
I appreciated Victor Webster’s acting and assets on Mutant X, and Charmed. I wasn’t planning on watching Melrose Place revamped, but now i have to since Victor is on it.
I’ve never seen Mutuant X but have seen this beautiful man on Charmed and 2 recent Lifetime movies (Hostile Makeover?) where he did more than credible acting in his part. I don’t see that he’s any worse than anyone else in Hollywood. I may even give Melrose a try because of him!
Saw Melrose Place and loved Victor Webster’s character – great potential for character growth, good chemistry with Katie Cassidy’s character. OH, and he looks hot too.
VICTOR WEBSTER IS HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And he is the only reason I got into watching Melrose Place!!!!!!!! Someone PLEASE tell the producers to hold onto him!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I watched Melrose Place last night, we didn’t plan on it, the channel surfing just kind of stopped on it.
Anyway, I noticed that every show on the CW is the same, same music, people, clothing, settings, stories….
If this guy is able to save the show it would be great!
