The posters look a little like Scarlett Johannsson’s movie……..I don’t remember the name of it, if anyone remembers? Anyway, it sounds quite good.

    LAC rules Says:

The posters have a retro feel to them. G’s eyes are bit weird looking tho. This is G’s debut as a producer so I wish him big success. In general I am not a big movie night person, but with G’s movies it has become more than just going to a movie; it’s to show my support like going to the games of my favorite sport teams/athletes. I am sure a lot of G’s fans feel the same way. Besides, G’s movies are always entertaining.

After the Aniston film, what does this guy’s career future look like? Anything going on for him?

    Eve Says:

Hopefully, this is a good one. All of Jamie’s movies tately have been disappointments for me. It’s like he’s cursed since going off on Billy Ray’s spawn. Gerard is so hot.

    much better poster... Says:

…is on the Film Department’s website

I wonder the same thing #11… LAC looks like a great project, but Gerry’s other movies???? I don’t know. The guy has talent (when he doesn’t use botox that is!) but if he takes off several months inbetween projects he’ll be forgotten soon… He needs to get his career going now, 5 years from now it’ll be too late. Plus I wish he’d fight a bit more for GOOD projects like Burns, Hanging Tale and The Untouchables prequel…. not just take the easy fluffy stuff like the Bounty that is falling into his lap.

Awesome posters, both of them. Love the photos used. This film is going to be totally out there and amazing. A great change for Gerry Butler … but the man can do anything, play any part, BE any character. He’s just that good. Put the two together, Jamie Foxx and Gerry Butler, and you have an instant winner! I loved Jamie in The Soloist … a transformation of out-of-this-world proportions. I absolutely cannot wait to see Law Abiding Citizen.

I am so excited for this movie. Been watching the tweets regarding this project from the director and feedback is looking good. Hoping for more of these kind of projects in the Great Scot’s future. Please Gerry, skip the romcoms!

@much better poster…: I think I heard a while back about something coming from Frank Miller and Zack Snyder in the “300″ genre – maybe a prequel or something. Anything going on with that?

A heads up, Entertainment Tonight is featuring LAC on it’s show tomorrow night. I was told it’s a preview of the trailer, possibly more.

    sweetness Says:

I think Butler is taking over where Russell Crowe failed to deliver..the movie industry’s need for a macho man with sex appeal. Crowe lost his appeal years ago and now no one gives a crap about his films. Butler is utilizing his uber macho-ness by playing in dumb romantic comedies and action dramas. I was in the theater and saw many women seeing The Ugly Truth…let’s face it all Hollywood has to offer in terms of sex appeal lately are 20 year old effeminate boy heartthrobs. Sometimes women want to see a man onscreen not boys.

    joisey kow Says:

Heck ya, sure do want to see some real, sexy beef cake…someone that looks like they’ve lived life some…not a vacant eyed 20 year old…
i’d do Gerry for sure- YUM-MEE.

    poster Says:

I don’t like these posters at all. They look amateurish. The older art work is/was better imo. I believe these are just teaser posters, not the official version.
I hope this movie is good, but based on Gerry’s work since 300, I’m not holding my breath. Hopefully, I will be proven wrong.

    wtf!!!! Says:

This is from an interview in a British mag called Red. Same, but different then the other articles of late. This stupid TUT movie has made G answer questions about his private life like never before. Here he’s asked to describe the kind of woman he’s looking for….today.

“She’s got to be a combination of sweet and sexy, tall, dark with a bit of craziness thrown in,” he says with absolute precision “But at the end of the day, she has to be nice and I have to respect and trust her. I have to feel cared for and know that she’s out for my best interests.”

And if you’re a worshipping fangurl, forget it….he doesn’t want you.
“There’s nothing better than people appreciating you but it’s not a turn on. A fan is fantastc-they’re what makes your career worth it-but it doesn’t mean you want to marry them. They’re putting you on the pedestal and it’s very hard to date somebody like that.”

    better things to come Says:

If Gamer and LAC are hits, even moderately so, GB will prove to the executives at movie studios that his movies can deliver and be profitable at BO. By riding on their success, he might be able to get needed financing and backing for “Burns”. I think GB really wants to fulfill this dream of his and now is the time to do it before he gets too old for the role and/or the momentum is completely gone.

    pafan Says:

I think LAC is going to be a very, very good movie. A really different role for Gerry. The industry must have a lot of faith in it as well because the opening was moved from March 2010 to this October 16!. And, let’s not forget Gerry’s ‘Gamer’ which opens Sept. 4. That one is also getting a lot of good reviews from people who have seen early screenings. And in ‘Gamer’ he’s back to (almost) 300 form. Gerry is such a good actor. Think of the range of his characters. I don’t know any other actor at present who can go from terrific comedy form, to suspense to action and be believable in each. This is Gerry’s year to win the triple crown. (And not to forget, he’s gorgeous as well.)
