Roger Federer Debuts U.S. Open Look

Tennis champ Roger Federer hits up the Nike-built regulation tennis court on 23rd Street & Broadway on Wednesday (August 26) in New York City.

The Swiss pro player, who turned 28 earlier this month, challenged local youth tennis players to try their hand at experiencing what it’s like to return a pro serve.

Roger also unveiled his look for the 2009 U.S. Open, consisting of bold red and black. His in-game polos are constructed of knit Nike Dri-FIT fabric. The body of the shirt has an embossed dot pattern inspired by the subway signs of New York, and the button placket features Roger’s black RF monogram logo, applied using bonded innovation and laser cut detailing.

A few weeks ago, Roger showed off the first picture of his twin girls.

He just looks “squarer” by the minute. He needs to retire. Where’s Nadal when you need him?

Roger is the greatest tennis player ever–he can go several more years before he retires. Having a family now may change his mind though!

He looks great to me! He looks beaming and happy to me. He must really be happy with fatherhood or it is agreeing with him.

He is such a class act… and one of the finest tennis players ever. He is also very handsome, humble and dignified. Guess comment #1 does not appreciate those qualities. Must be a 12 year old.

im pretty good at tennis and sports overall, but ive always wondered what it would be like paying with a pro tennis player
especially up against there 100+ mph serves, or andy roddick’s at that 0.0

Greatest tennis player ever for me…obviously everyone has their own favourites but he’s mine by far. Love this outfit & hope he gets his 16th GS, though considering his year so far I won’t be too disappointed if he doesn’t win it again, RF fans have been quite spoiled this year with so much great success already!

I was only mildly interested in tennis pre-Roger. But for the last few years, I watch the sport every chance I get all because of RF. The things this guy can do on court are just…. WOWWWW.

Love him. Go Federer!!!
