OlderKatherine Heigl Takes Hiatus From Grey's Anatomy
Katherine Heigl will be stepping away from Grey’s Anatomy for five episodes this season, EW reports.
The 30-year-old actress needs the break to shoot her new romantic comedy Life as We Know It, which is being directed by Greg Berlanti (The Broken Hearts Club). Her leave of absence is bound to coincide with co-star Ellen Pompeo‘s maternity leave.
E! reports Izzie (Heigl) will disappear for awhile after getting fired during the merger of Seattle Grace and crosstown rival Mercy West. Meredith (Pompeo) will also fade into the background for a bit while new doctors take front and center: Nora Zehetner, Robert Baker, and Jesse Williams.

I had a group of friends at work who watched this show all the time.. Now they could care less.. This happens all the time. I myself could not stomach the show with all that McSteamy and McDreamy crap.. come on.. Are women really that childish.. My favorite is Christine.. She should have gotten more of the spot light; Her character was the most interesting to me… But NO the show keep going with that boring Derek and Meredith.. Sorry they are too boring. and contrived..
But hey I am not a viewer anymore.. so maybe the fans of the show like all this stuff.. Go figure..
