OlderMatt Damon: Venice Film Festival Ready!
Matt Damon and his wife Luciana take a romantic boat ride together in Venice, Italy on Sunday (September 6).
The 38-year-old actor will soon be hitting the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival for The Informant!, directed by Steven Soderbergh. Matt plays Mark Whitacre, a crooked executive who exposes his agricultural firm’s price-fixing tactics.
Mr. Damon put on 30 pounds to play the role. Check out the pictures from the set taken last year!

Can’t say how much I love Matt Damon!!!! He is a FANTASTIC actor who has his head screwed on right!!!! He didn’t fall prey to the Hollywood game…didn’t seek out a fame whoring, silly, stupid actress, found a great woman in the real world without any pretentions, honed his craft, has two beautiful babies, doesn’t live in Hollywood, charitable to the highest level, and one of the sweetest, most natural people you will ever meet. Doesn’t play the fame, paparazzi seeking game either. KUDOS!!!!
A class act who should teach a class to actors on how to be real and still be a GREAT actor! Another Oscar on the way….and why? Because he focuses on his craft rather than the Celebrity Fame Game! Instead of focusing on how much he can stay in the press he actually goes to work and then just goes home! Muy bien!

Well, he is 39, so if its thinning its perfectly natural thing to happen. Anybody remember when Laneygossip had that blind item about an actor who whenever he wsnt filming was with his Cuban houseboy on the sly in Miami? I thought for sure it was Matt bu t as far as i know she never revealed. Matt has never written a thing since Good Will Hunting so I think he was carried by Affleck on that. Also he “lost” his Oscar somewhere in his moves. I think if you felt you really deserved it, you wouldnt somehow lose it. Odd.

Low-key private actor.Good for Matt Damon.He is a good actor and lives a private life.
I admire Matt for being a successful Hollywood star but he still could make his mariage work with an average Jane from outside the biz. It looks like they have a solid marriage and they have proven to the world that a relationship can still have longevity despite one spouse being more successful and they have a way of keeping the media out of their life.
